Argon, Did you find your missing jeans? Is that like the "Missing Sock God"? Good luck!

Hey, me too. Only a very few people know I had the band. I overheard someone talking about another lady who had it done as though her weight loss wasn't real and she had "cheated". I commented that it is still hard work no matter what tool you have to assist you. I was so happy that I hadn't told anyone I had the band. Maybe when I'm more confident but right now the way gossip in the office goes - NO WAY. So I understand how you have to tell "little while lies" to survive. Hope everyone is having a great week. One day at a time....

Hi All, I think my defining moment was when my son couldn't wrap his arms around me - and said I was "fat". In his defense he's only 8 and while studying health this term they have talked about exercising and healthy eating (he is a thin and healthy child). I had made many excuses that it was my diabetes and the medication but honestly it was the unhealthy Snacks. I feel so much better now that I have lost equivalent to my son's weight. It is fun shopping in "normal" stores. It has been rough changing my eating habits and when the "head hunger" strikes it hits hard. I've learned to distract myself but I do know that this will be a life long battle but with the band as a wonderful tool, I know I can maintain it. I'm so close I can taste it. I know everyone's journey has ups and downs and I pray that you will be slimmer in the weeks ahead and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Have a great week.

Dorianna, I believe that the TLBC has one on staff that you can request to see. I have been told wonderful things about her. Never used her myself. I'm heading for a Defill today (as long as the weather holds up). Have a great week!

Settle down ladies! We are suppose to play nice in the "Canadian" sandbox (LOL)
-
Hold on Becca and think of the rewards - and the look on the Docs face when you're a winner at LOSING (yep Weight wise if you get my drift) Enjoy the little triumphs and hope you get your fridge soon so you can add some crushed ice.

Hey Angel, why not some pics!!!!! It's not fair that only Yoda gets to see ya!!!! __________________ Cloe: if I could insert a photo I would but I'm not that computer literate yet. Hubby said he'd help me sort it out on the weekend...hold tight photos to follow....LOL I hope they won't dissappoint.

Congrats Cloe. Awesome job. I like the way you're celebrating with highlights. Have another successful week!
-
Becca, What a great day to start on a new journey. You will be posting successes here like the rest of us. Keep up the great attitude.

Argon, Look at how great you are doing! 99lbs is nothing to scoff at. Give yourself a Pat on the back and just start again this week. We've all been there and we'll join you in kicking the scale. Happy lb hunting/target this week.

I agree Mookie, You are a light weight...accept it with pride. Glad you did so well on the Pre-op. It's a killer. 20 lbs loss is fantastic!

Hi Cloe and Yoda, Yeah, sorry I meant weight and I forgot the word - must have been the early morning post. I'm happy I got to keep down oatmeal this morning after getting my blood work done. If there's a cancellation I'll be heading in earlier for a defill. I'm approx 20 lbs from goal but it's not been fun the last few days. -
Hi Yasmina, Doesn't feel so great this week but Thanks. I'm looking much better. But I have low energy and can't keep anything down. I can eat it but it comes back up shortly after. You're down almost 15 already and that's fantastic. Good work. I say that because it is a matter of choices and just because we have the band doesn't mean we "cheated". Have a great week.
-
YODA, You're doing GREAT! You must be filling much better with your defill. I'm heading down on 15 Feb. Can't wait for the feeling. I'm hoping this isn't a virus I have and I'm thinking it's from being too tight. Off for blood work. Talk soon. Have a great week!

YUP! I agree - it is disgusting.

Exactly! Why won't they LISTEN! Maybe we'll see it someday???? I agree with the counselling - if we're paying for it from Tax dollars the people who have surgery should be accountable. We're all living proof that the band works but as Gaffer says his mom knows of 2 who are abusing it. Ok I have to get off the soap box and go get lab work done. Defill coming next Thur (15th) - can't come too soon. Hugs. Have a great week! -
Don't worry gals - you'll get there slow but sure. Have a great "slim" week.

Yoda, My internet has been down so I guess I've missed quite alot in the last couple of weeks. I too have been vomiting (and disgusting acid). I wish I had been on the site to know that you had experienced the same feeling. I too have booked a defill but can't get there until 15 Feb. (Doc put me on Ensure yesterday - it's dropping like crazy!) Glad your defill helped and hope you're feeling better. Hugs, -
I'll jump in here and add my goal too. I'd like to be 10lbs lighter by the end of Feb. Good luck everyone!
-
Hi Yoda, Thanks! You look pretty hot yourself. Doc was amazing and he is dreamy. Lots of encouragement (and a hug!) oh yeah, meds are down too! I'm stuck on a plateau though - must be all the exercise. I lost about 1 inch and new clothes are starting to get loose. Cross fingers for my Feb goal of 10lbs. Have a great week! talk soon.
-
Welcome back Khrissy. Glad you waited for your fill. Hope you're doing fine.
-
Heather, Congrats on your success. It's great to see someone so close to goal. Have a great week!

Yoda, You're doing FABULOUS! We're all so very proud of you. Hope you're enjoying the lovely snow. I got my exercise this morning without stepping foot in the gym.... I love this stuff ....(repeat after me!) Hugs, Roxs -
Oh no Bandiva! What have you done! I've had pictures of "hands in my pocket" and that tune going thru my head all DAY. And it's gotten me some strange looks too! Have a great weekend.

Yasmina, Both Yoda and I HATE cottage cheese so we just ignored that and talked to Niserine about alternatives. I was able to have chicken (plain, broiled or boiled) without sauces and yogurt. When you want it bad enough it's amazing where you find the willpower to keep going. Good luck and congrats on your surgery date.
