Wheezy, I've been doing the "Yoda" thing and sharing with hubby - it works for both of us. I went thru counselling for several months to get over the "cleaning plates" issue - I would clean my kids leftovers and sometimes my husbands as well. Now I have no remorse at leaving food on my plate - I LOVE leftovers and my kids are beginning to learn when they are full and not STUFFED. Most restaurants are quite ok with doggy bagging my left overs or sharing hubbys main course - plus hubby tips well and I always compliment (if its deserved). Thanks for all the kudos, it feels great to get compliments and while I like making others feel good about themselves, it's nice to get compliments too!

Argon, Thanks. I'm hovering between 143 and 145 - I can't believe how great it is to shop at "normal" stores. I'm not tall at all but the weight loss has given me that appearance - I'm only 5'1. I did sadly lose my top assets but push up bras are great. Hope you're having a great/successful week.

Hi Yoda, I bought some Medium Tops/pants and size 10 pant suit - Yes I was so SHOCKED but it was a nice surpise. I'm scared to change my ticker - I'm waiting a few days to see if I've leveled off (I'm sooooo close!)

Yoda - glad you enjoyed the show and had a great time in the "pool". I know what you mean about not being so sensitive about your body (it feels GRrrrrrEAT! Mr Yoda: Glad you're coming onto the other side real soon. I know you'll do great with the support you have. Too bad about the hotel - now that just SUCKS! You'd think that it was there money - just mention that you've posted your complaints on the web for all to see and lets see if that hinders their business and changes their minds. There must be another hotel close by to take all our business to - to get the message out to them.??? Have a great week - Yoda leaves soon eh? -
Speaking of Fruit loops, I had an amazing time in Montreal and managed to maintain my weight. I enjoyed shopping in both Montreal and Vermont - got some new clothes (one size smaller! yeah!!) How was everyones Easter?
-
I agree with Yoda, Half the battle is your attitude. Stay positive and take it one day at a time. We've all been there and had doubts but we've never regretted it - not for a second. Have a great week!
-
Congrats Mandi, You look fantastic. Happy Bandiversary (I know I'm a little late) Have a great week.
-
Welcome Mr Yoda, I know you'll do well. You have a wonderful "better half" and friend. Have a great week! PS. Fill us in on all the details after your consult!

Putting my two cents worth in on gym or not to gym, if you're not comfortable with the setting then you won't use it. But for exercise I also park at the far end of the parking lot no matter what appointment I have and at work etc just to get in extra steps. Plus I walk (now jog) the dogs after supper - it not only helps in exercise but helps me digest as well. And remember one day at a time - you'll start to love how you feel after you get some exercise in. And I find it's a good way to get in some Water. Have fun and change your routine often so you don't get bored. Good luck!

I agree with everyone, It's scary but once you've done it and see how successful you can be with it, it's worth every pain and panic attack you get. Make sure you talk about your fears. Good luck and see you on the other side!

Yoda, I saw the Village People too. My first concert was DAN HILL - I bet that dates me! I won a back stage pass and thought I had died and gone to heaven. -

Thanks Yoda, Yeah I can taste it. I've been yoyoing for the last couple weeks and I went for a defill - just .5 but it seems to be helping. I can eat a salad without pb. I need the extra so I can work out more. I think that's been the reason for my success - exercise - I love to eat but the more I exercise the more it burns off. I know you'll love seeing everyone at the clinic. It was great talking to the gals (and the ones in the waiting room). Good luck Mr Yoda. You have a great teacher. Have a great week. I hope to get to goal after Easter (no pressure but it sure would be nice to get there before June) -

Thanks for the info. That's the info I received at the clinic last week. The care is still outstanding and I enjoyed the "talk" in the waiting area. Quite the boost this week for me - scales at clinic confirmed that I'm close to goal. I must admit I'm looking forward to vacation this week in Montreal - and clothes shopping. I got my hair cut, styled and I'm booked for low tones - just something different. Have a great week and HAPPY EASTER! -
Thanks everyone. I started walking the track just a few laps a day and tried to add on a few more - then upped the pace just a little. It's taken 7 months but I can now run - I also feel lighter going around it. Susansilver: just keep things small and set small goals - they are achievable and won't get you discouraged. I Celebrate my accomplishments each morning and I give thanks every morning for the miracles in my life - that sets the tone for the day. It's amazing what positive thought does to ones outlook and how much easier it is to face even the most stressful situations. Green: Thanks! I'm pretty proud of the BMI Yoda: Love how your ticker has moved. Way to go girl!! Have a great weekend everyone and see you thinner.

Congrats on the new date. It will fly by. Thanks Yoda for your sense of humor.

I had to share my NSV...I ran several laps of the indoor track without getting out of breath. I'm close to my goal and I'm losing inches now - hit a plateau but that's ok cause I feel fantastic. I love how my skin feels and hubby took me clothes shopping. And the compliments make me grin from ear to ear. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Mandi, Sorry to hear about your grandmother. My nan died a few years ago with Alzheimers too. Some of my fondest memories are before she went into the final stages and could still share cooking skills and advice. Sometimes when I'm baking and using her utensils I feel her presence - could be wishful thinking- but it makes me feel better. I know she's knitting and chatting with her friends and sisters and watching over us. PS. You look TERRIFIC. Great pictures.
-
I agree with Yoda. Dr Yau performed my surgery and did a fantastic job. I love the girls at the clinic and they make the experiences positive. Hope everyone is having a great week.
-
Wow Mandi, I think you've just hit a plateau. I agree with the girls that you just hit a rough patch. Good luck.

Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)

HI Doddie, It's funny how the band wins eh? I've had many arguements with it too but it seems to have many more things on its side and knows what's good for me. I kind of think of it like my food police and while some can work around it, it soon catches up with you. It's lots of hard work but reading everyones posts - even with their bumps and plibs - it's all worth it for the end results and reaching goals. Have a great week and see you thinner next week. Doddie, You're doing fantastic! Give yourself a pat on the back. The guys and gals here love to hear about everything - so have fun and enjoy. -
Thanks! Yeah, it's sometimes easy to forget those other rewards when the scale seems to be stuck. But I'm looking forward to a trip to the states for clothes shopping over Easter (Yeah!!!)
-
I'll join your March goals - I want to be down 5 and a few inches. I also want to celebrate the little victories and not worry about the last 20lbs. Feeling "Not so fluffy!" Good luck everyone!
-
Yoda, Way to go! Bet you're feeling great and I know it's hard not being so hard on yourself. Since the de-fill I'm feeling better (and as you said I noticed I'm still the same - which is better than gaining!) now I'm fighting a cold that a co-worker brought to work but still heading to the gym on a daily basis - maybe I can sweat the cold out!! Any advice for a plateau? Although the inches are still falling.

Dame J, Hope you're feeling better. If you have any questions the clinic is the best source. Moving around was what dispelled the "gas" for me. If I didn't the shoulder pain was terrible. Good luck and take it one day at a time!
