    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Yeah, I'm gonna stick to it for the next 2 weeks and go for my fill on 2 Nov. I did lots of baking for the family today - and made a diabetic lemon pie - the small piece I had was delicious and the kids didn't even notice the difference (I left off the meringue). I didn't "taste test" like I use to so I was very happy about that. Have a great week!! Roxanne

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Way to go Neenagh - putting back the bar would have killed me. I had my fill and I'm feeling very restricted. Ate a little too fast after doing circuit training yesterday and it came right back up - guess I needed the wake up call. Roxanne

    The All-Canadian October Challenge!!!

Hi Green and gang, I will join the Oct challenge and shoot for 4 lbs since it's late in the month and drink lots of Water. We started circuit training at work (twice a week for an hour) and while I sweat like crazy doing it - it's feeling better. I will be fit next summer for bathing suit season or die trying! Good luck with our goals. Roxanne

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Hi Green, Missed you this morning. Mine was rescheduled for 2:00pm and someone missed the morning and showed up at the pm class. I had to wait until 3. Kathy filled 5 cc but it was too much. I couldn't breathe without pain and swallowing brought it back up. Ouch! So I felt better after she took 1cc out. I scheduled my next fill for 2 Nov AM. That way I'll miss some of the TO traffic to get home. It's brutal in the afternoons. I left the clinic at 3:30 and didn't get home until after 6:00pm! I'm exhausted but I enjoyed the hot soup for supper. How was yours??? Roxanne

    Good Luck Green!

Hi guys, I went for my first fill today at the TLBC (afternoon). I desperately needed a fill and my original appt had been rescheduled to today. Kathy put in 5 cc but it was a horrible drowning feeling after the first sip of Water. After trying to gurgle up what I swallowed I had her remove 1 cc. I could BREATHE! And the water is going down well. I had tea on the long drive home and that small tea more than filled me up. I'm was dissappointed with the scale but the inches are showing. Maybe now with the first fill I will have more success. Kathy has booked my next appts -31 Oct was full so I had to take 2 Nov :0( I didn't even feel the needle the first time but I felt it for the de-fill. I'm such a baby though. Here's to Soup. Have a great week. Roxanne

    Message Board for TLBC Patients

Hi I haven't tried the TLBC msg board yet but Kathy was busy today with a "first Fill clinic". I had mine! First 5 cc but it was too tight and I was gasping for air and gurgling/burbing like crazy. I had Kathy take 1cc out. I scheduled my second fill for two weeks time. We'll see how this week goes. Roxanne

I have to say that the care at the TLBC is top notch. They are genuinely caring and "nice". Any of the girls will be more than happy to give you advice. Good luck all. Roxanne

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

I have my first fill on Tuesday at the TLBC. I'm nervous but I'm starved all the time. Thanks Neenagh for the info on your fill. I will be happy if I'm laying down - I don't do well with needles. How is everyone doing? Roxanne

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

I think I will try the avoidance first - needles do bother me alot - I have been known to faint in the past. Pain doesn't bother me - but oh how I dread that needle! I'll ask for some Demerol or something to relax me too.

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Green, I started back on the Soup, yogurt and chicken diet that they gave me post op and the last day I feel better. Hopefully a few more days will do the trick and I'll be back to going down. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm rather scared of the fill - needles bother me. Any advice???

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

I think it sounds good too. I have my first fill scheduled for 17 Oct. I don't feel any restrictions now and its sheer will power keeping me going. I'm teetering back and forth with 2 lbs. My Christmas goal seems so far away... sigh.... hope you all are having a great week!

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

HI All, I've been stuck the last couple weeks and the scales haven't budged but I didn't think of the inches. I had measured before BB and did it today - I've lost inches!! Yeah!! So even though the scales have stalled (I still can't keep off them) I can see the inches moving too. Got to keep the joy going. First fill is on 17 Oct. Baby steps...... Roxs

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Thanks Cloe, I changed it around to add some oatmeal - and it seemed to work today - not hungry. I added some crystal light - just to change flavor of water and diluted it more than asked - and that helped too. I think I also have to stay away from the scales and only weigh in once a week. I seem to becoming obsessed with the numbers although I do feel the clothes are fitting differently these days. I can relate to the baggy feeling in the bottom. Neenah - I love the bunny! and looks like the food choices are great. It will move - maybe we'll see results in a few days

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Thanks. Slow going tonight. I'm struggling with words - guess I'm just not in the mood. I figure with the added gym time (I'm at 3 x a week) it should kick start the bod again. (cross my fingers). Have a great week... I figure I'll be at the books for the next few days to get the assignment done - oh what punishment! I love history so I guess it was self inflicted!

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Hi Neenah, My bear hasn't gone for a short walk in a while either. I'm stuck but I need a fill. I'm not getting it until 17 Oct. I don't know if it's normal to wait that long after surgery but I don't feel much restriction anymore. I'm trying to stick to it but the temptations are getting stronger - as my stomach grumbles more. Work and school is very busy too so that doesn't help. My history assignments are due this weekend and I'm not thru my abstract - stuck! Oh well, I know it will come. But it's cramming it into the other fun stuff. Have a great week and good luck getting that little car to move. Roxanne

    Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Neenah! Too funny story. I told my husband I was getting ideas - thanks for providing a little levity. I'm craving for a stinking hamburger or something filling. oh well, no pain no gain. Have a great day. And keep those tips coming.

    Argon's Activities

Hi Neenagh, Looks like we were banded on the same day! How are you doing? I find I'm hungry - starving actually on the full liquids so Doc started me on pureed - but I can hardly wait to eat something solid. How did your surgery go?

    Argon's Activities

Hey ARGON, How was your trip to Moncton? Did you have a blast shopping or were you disappointed? I just went down a dress size and I debated whether to buy something as a reward or wait and then my husband suggested a smaller track suit. The pink one I have was huge and starting to fall off (I LOVE that fact) so I bought a navy blue one. It feels so great on and I get to walk to the gym and show it off on the tread mill. Yeah! Have a great week.
