I have a hard time getting the Special K waters simply because you get so little Protein, yet you get quite a bit of sugar...at least with the labels that I read. I probably would buy them however if I was not able to get the protein anywhere else, having never been through this before I am not sure what I will be able to do after, all of you that are converting from lap band will have a better idea. As for getting them at Walmart...well that sucks! I wish I had known I could just buy them there, I ordered them online from Bariatric Choice. I may have to go to Walmart if they don't get here in time for me to leave. How much were they there? I think I paid $2.99 a shot, Walmart is probably much cheaper!

I thought so too until I was talking to Dr. Aceves nurse and she said it is all of one stitch and very easy to do...I immediately changed my mind on $500 being reasonable!

I read that grape and blue raspberry were the best and orange was okay, so I ordered those 3 and none of the fruitpunch! I ordered quite a few too lol. Oh well! I figure even if I can't absorb the whole 42g whatever I do absorb will be good and the shots were about the same and these had better ratings. I am also going to GNC soon to look for things. I don't know...I got some initial paperwork from another Dr. in Mexico and it said that if I had a hernia there would be additional $500 charged to me. I am self-pay. That was not Dr. Aceves, but another, so I am pretty sure that everyone does not repair it for free.

I will!! Hopefully I will get them before I go down, that way I can start taking them right away, if not they should be here by the time I get back. I ordered a few other things that had like 20g of Protein, but I am really hoping I like the IDS.

I am sure there will be times when I have a hard time wanting food that others are eating. I have decided that I am going to keep things ready in my mind to think of that I am happy with since getting the sleeve to remind me that tons food is not such a big loss. I believe that will refocus me and make me grateful not to be eating like everyone else. I too am looking forward to having an even better sex life, who wouldn't!?! As for shopping, well, I am already pretty much already a shop-aholic...I am constantly buying things, so I have no doubts that will get worse. I am just going to try and wait to go crazy until I have reached my goal weight. Until then I will have a set amount that I can spend each time I move down a size, so that I don't overbuy what I will just be getting rid of in a month or so. If you are really worried about it affecting you negatively then maybe you should step back, until you feel better about it. Being thin will not replace anything bad you may be feeling about yourself. If you don't like yourself now, you won't then, even if you like your body more. I assume since you have issues with depression that you are seeing a therapist, I would advise you to talk to him/her about it and see what he has to say. Best of luck with everything!

I bought something called IDS Liquid Protien...I have no idea how it tastes, I have not got it yet, but the reviews were good. They said it tastes like liquid Jello. But I figure even if it tastes nasty, it is kinda like a shot, just 3 oz, and it has 42g of protein. BTW if anyone has tried these let me know, I ordered quite a few so it would be nice to know what people thought of them!

Wow, it sounds like you had a bit of a rough time! Congrats on being home and hopefully through the worst of it! I am a bit worried about the gas as I am a huge baby when it comes to pain, so long as there is pain meds though I think I will be okay. That sucks the nurses don't speak English so well, that makes me a bit nervous, I thought everyone spoke and understood well. Oh well. I hope everything from here out goes wonderful for you!!!

Hi all, Can you guys tell me your favorite Isopure flavors, they seem to come in cases so I want to get what the majority of people think is good! Has anyone tried IDS liquid Protein? The are like shots of flavored protein, and have 42g of protein in it. I just ordered a bunch in 3 different flavors (they had great reviews) I am hoping they are good and go down easy! Let me know if you have tried them! Thanks!

My sister just called and got her's switched also for the trip, it took her calling back 3 times to finally find someone who knew what she was talking about. So if any of you are calling about it and they tell you that is not how it works just keep calling back! I believe it is called the Nationwide+Mexico Family Share Plan. I don't currently have a PCP, mine stopped practice to stay home with her kids. I suppose I should get one, but I rarely go to the doctor. Should I expect to go more now? I kinda figured the sleeve has very low complications so it would not be a big deal if I waiting on finding another PCP.

I know you are already reassured but I wanted to let you know that I think it is pretty normal. I too have guys that hit on me as the "hot fat chick", and it does not really bother my husband...much lol. Anyways, since we decided I should do the surgery he has been working out more and trying to "buff up". He too is already very fit and good looking. I think it is more along the lines of, "crap she will have more guys interested then ever now", and wanting to make sure I still find him attractive. (My husband all but admitted this to me) Men really don't differ that much from us in wanting their loved ones to think they are hot! Also, having been around many in the military, I know it can be even more stressfull when he is deployed and he just wants more confidence that when he comes home and you see him you will like what you see! Don't worry another minute about it!

Okay...so I just got off the phone with Verizon and if you live on the west coast they actually have a promotion where if you add the mexico calling plan for one month, they actually will give you a $15 credit and set it to automatically cancel the plan after that month. Therefore you end up getting it for free for that month! Plus you get the extra minutes and free calling while in Mexico! Jagator I love you right now! Hope others can take advantage of this also!
