Thanks to everyone. I have struggled in recent days with the adjustment to what I can and can not hold down. I've had a number of episodes recently where I've had PBs....you can see the countdown to launch going on inside my stomach...and the tough part...is does not stop until you are completely empty. I'm in a very high stress and highly public job so I have to be very careful about what i eat and where.....and I don't need security to scope out a location where I will be....i always know where the exits and the restrooms are whenever I have to eat somewhere :-) Keeping the faith....go get'em guys. 1 day at a time.
had my first fill this past wednesday. non event. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Lot of PBing this weekend...but mostly my fault. taking it easy today.
Banded May 25. Had my first fill this past wed the 22nd. I've lost 30lbs to date. trying to figure out how to get the tickerfactory ruler on my posts.....forgive me for not knowing and/or remembering.
Banded on May 25. Right smack in the middle of this liquid crap. Thank god for egg drop soup. Had a clam broth soup yesterday that went down very well....almost like miso soup for those of you who eat sushi. I'm sick of those damn shakes....but I'm about to go and make one right now so that I can take my vitamins
Damn...they got your ass outta there pretty quick :-) Take the nausea medicine and get some rest. Monday will be a week for me. I'm sick of these damn liquids, but I have another week to go. Hang in there.
I am so glad to hear that. I am literally 36 hours away from the procedure Monday morning the 25th. I am thinking only one more day of this liquid diet until my surgery....then i will have to set new goals to get through it. I'm pleased to hear you two days out and feeling ok. Wish me luck guys....
I've been keeping track of the many threads over the past several months and I've decided to pull the trigger. I go in Monday morning for an outpatient procedure. I'm well into the liquid diet preop and just finished yet another delicious protein shake...good lord. Just counting down the days.
Only wife daughter and secretary. They are in the best position to be supportive. I will tell a couple of close friends after the surgery....but its really a personal issue. And if you tell them you have had to change your eating habits for long term health...you don't have to worry about not telling the truth.
