What is the difference with being in the green zone and having restriction? For the first time in 7 years since getting my band, I am not hungry after a fill. I have been told that is the green zone. What then does it mean to have restriction?
-
Hi Pretty, I hope you get to green again soon. This is the first time in 7 years since getting my band that I am not hungry after a fill. There are still terms like restriction that I do not get though.

I love Strawberries and Cream. I have been trying to locate Bananas and Cream. -
I went for a fill today. I weighed and was told I lost 7 pounds since my March visit, which was 4 months ago. Day one and I do not feel hungry. I have head hunger. At 11:30 AM, I strained the broth from a bowl of Chicken Noodle soup. I discarded the noodles and sipped on the broth. Later, I had a few cashews. I just had a cup of hot tea, but my mind is still on food. My doctor wants me on liquids until Wednesday. Any tips to get through this liquid phase will be appreciated.

Thank you both for responding. I may possibly be in the green zone. I am not hungry and when I eat, I get full much faster than usual. I am making a conscience effort to follow the band eating style. I hope to see weight loss soon.

The searing pain concerns me. That is not normal. Have you consulted your surgeon?
-
Please explain what the green zone feels like? I went for a fill today after 4.5 years. I had 5.5ccs of saline in the band prior to the fill. I was given .5ccs which took me to 6ccs. I was too tight and threw up water while in the office. My doctor removed .25ccs to get me to 5.75ccs. I can easily drink water without any restriction. How do you know when you are in the green zone?

Thank you! -
I need recommendations for a fill doctor in Houston or surrounding areas. It has been about 4 years since my last fill. My doctor now charges $250.00 a fill.

I did not have the best week (8/11-8/16). We celebrated my oldest daughter's 25th birthday on Monday. We went out to dinner and I allowed myself to have a small portion of noodles and rice at her favorite restaurant. We came home to cream cheese and pecan frosted birthday cake. I had a small piece the first day, but during the week, I had a couple more slices. Friday we had Family Game night to enjoy the evening with my youngest daughter before we took her back to her college campus. I made her favorite sliders and of course I ate a couple. Needless to say, I gained 2 pounds. Thank God for starting over! I am back on track and hoping to see the scale move in the right direction for a while. The support of this group is the reason I have not thrown in the towel. Melissa, thanks once again for sharing your story. We all struggle, but it is good to know that through the journey, if we remain focused we will reach our goals. -

Thank you Melissa! Don't get discouraged about the scale. You reported losing inches this week so that meant fat loss. You have a reason to Celebrate. Dee -

My first week back was a success. I am down 4 pounds!!!! I allowed myself a sweet treat at the end of each day and still lost weight. This week I will try and stick to sugar free Jello and Atkins treats. Looking forward to the next round of results. I'm feeling better about myself again. -

I hope everyone is doing well. I want to report that I am doing well since posting my return on Sunday. I am down 3 pounds as of this morning. I feel if I post my results more often than once a week, it motivates me to keep doing the right thing. I am very visual so to see my ticker moving in the right direction is an awesome feeling. I have not totally restricted my diet. I have increased the Protein and cut out as many carbs as possible. I'm eating smaller portions and consciously stop eating when I am full. I usually snack all day on the most unhealthy food items. Rather than eating candy all day, I've allowed myself 2-3 pieces in the evening. I don't think I can cut candy out completely. This way I will not crash and burn. In the past, I would go a few days without a treat, but before the week would end, I would come from the store with candy, Cookies and ice cream and binge on it all. It was an endless cycle. How do you all handle the cravings? -
Moxy, congratulations on your impressive weight loss!
