Why am I getting the "Full Signal" but still getting hungry after 3 hours?
yellowtulip replied to voodoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I was banded Sept 08 and am now, after a fill last week at 11cc. When I was at 10cc I would eat and be hungry 3 hours later. I was told to keep getting filled until you have restriction. It also depends on how light you eat. If you don't eat enough meat like chicken, you get hungry sooner. I have not lost a lot of weight, so I am hoping 11cc is better. -
5 days and counting...

It sounds like you are in good hands. You will not know anything that is going on and will be fine. I had the best nurses at Blodgett Hospital. They made me feel very comfortable. I don't remember anything until I woke up. I have a hard time with anesthesia, so I was a bit nauseous for a while. They have me some of the unjury drink to sip on after a bit the same day. Keep your excitement, I remember being that excited with the anticipation also. Good Luck!! Yellowtulip -
Last try before taking band out
yellowtulip replied to newgigi2006's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I completely understand your frustration. I was banded in Sept 2008 and have only lost 20 lbs. I eat great, exercise 3 times a week, have hypothyroidism and don't seem to budge on the scales. I am going to give it 3 years and may even check into the full bariatric surgery. However, I work with many people who have gained weight back from that surgery. I like the fact that I am not at the weight I was at, but am concerned that I am not dropping any weight. I am filled at 10cc and may be getting another fill in a week. I wish you luck and you are not alone. Yellowtulip:) -
Hello, I am new to this site. I had the Lapband Sept 08. I did not expect to follow a strict diet, but eat less. I work out 3x a week and eat pretty good, but am not losing much weight. I am only down 20 pounds. I am now at a 10cc fill and still believe I can eat too much. I am also looking for some good advice. Take care.

Soda soda soda
yellowtulip replied to MrsFlipFlops's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The nutritionist at my doctors office is fine with me having 1 diet soda a day. I do not have any pain with it as long as I am not eating food. -
My doctor told me about a great peanut butter called PB2. It comes in powder form and you mix with Water and it only has about 53 calories compared to 190. They have a website you can order it on. It is also great to add in your Protein shakes

Hi, this is my first post on this website. I was actually looking for a lap-band support group in the Lansing, Michigan area, and came to this one first, so logged on. I had surgery in Sept. 08 and started at 239 and am down to 215. I was adjusted last Thurs, at which time I only lost 1 lb. I joined the gym and work out twice a week, I know it should be cardio 30 minutes daily. Do you have a certain diet you follow that helps you? It sounds like you are doing Amazingly Great! Do you have a certain calorie count also? Anything you can share would be great. Tulip Girl
