    I'M HALFWAY!!!

    Liquids are aw(ful)some!

    I hate being on liquids. I love being on liquids. I hate being on liquids. I love being on liquids. I hate being on liquids. I love being on liquids. They're both true, but I can't make up my mind which is more true. I hate liquids because I would really like a hamburger or some Chick-fil-a. I love liquids because they broke my stall. I've been stalled for 3 weeks now. I had my 4th. fill on Wednesday (9cc total) and Dr. Jay requires liquids for a whole week. I've lost 7 lbs. since Wednesday. :biggrin1: :clap2: :biggrin1: I've also had a NSV. I was trying to get ready for work and it took me 15 minutes to find a pair of pants that wouldn't make me look like an M.C. Hammer impersonator. That day my work handed out Wal-Mart giftcards for Xmas. So I figured I would use it to buy 2 pairs of workpants. I've been wearing size 22 pants. The ones I bought for work are 16/18!! They're a little snug but that means I'll be able to wear them longer. After Xmas I'll be going shopping for everyday clothes. I can't believe that I'm actually looking forward to going shopping. It is also time for a challenge update. Those three weeks at a stall have really shortened my chances of making this goal. I'll get close though and I'm happy with that.

    ABC - December chat

    Hey y'all, I just got my 4th. fill. I've got a total of 9cc now.I really hope this one works for a while. I was stalled for three weeks at 220. Now I've been on liquids since Wednesday and the scale has already gone down 7 lbs. :clap2: I'm still trying hard to make my New Year's Day goal. I may not get all the way, but I'll be close! I'm especially pleased that my stall has broken, because my grandmother is coming for xmas. Her favorite thing is to offer me cake, cookies, & fried chicken. Then when I accept she tells me I'm too fat and should lose weight. While patting my stomach. Why, I ask you, WHY? This didn't start out to be a vent, but thanks anyway.

    I am...AFRAID

    I was afraid of the tube too. It wasn't even an issue. I was out before they put it in and still out when it was removed. I had only the nurse's word (and a slightly sore throat) that it was there at all. BTW, Dr. Jay is my doc. too.
  9. Hey y'all, I'm near Dallas. I live in Waxahachie and work in Lancaster. I was banded on Aug. 4, 2006 by Dr. Jay. I'm going in for my 4th. fill soon.

I am hoping to be at goal by this time next year. You would think I'd be able to accomplish that. I've lost 60 lbs. in the 4 months since my surgery. I've got 80 lbs. left to lose before goal, so it should be possible to lose that over the next 12 months. That is my major long-term goal: to be at goal by my next birthday. Which will be the 1st. anniversary of my 29th. I've had a much better week, gym-wise. I went three times this week. I've been doing each machine and station twice in a row. Somehow this makes me think the workout is shorter. I've got a gullible brain I guess. My ticker remains the same. At least didn't gain during my period of sloth-itude. I'm just stalled. I'm getting another fill next week.

    4 month anniversary pic.

    Okay, it is officially my 4 month banding anniversary today. I had my mom take a picture to record my progress. I'm wearing basically the same outfit that I wore in my "before" and 2 month anniversary picture. The jeans are a loose 22. I can pull them on & off without unzipping or unbuttoning. The top is the same top: a 3x. I think it looks (and feels) looser. Two months from now I should be in a brand-new outfit. I'm not going shopping for new clothes until after New Year's.

    ABC - December chat

    I know what you mean about feeling like a yo-yo. I can't seem to stay below 220 for more than a day at a time. I've got another fill scheduled for next Wednesday. I'm hoping it'll be "the one." I'm only 15 lbs. away from my 3rd. mini-goal. Yay! I need to hurry up though, cuz my reward is on sale and might be unavailable if I don't get a move on. I'm pretty sure I"m not going to make my Jan. 1 challenge either, but hey, at least I'll be close. I just took some 4 month pics. Check 'em out.

    weekly & challenge update

    I made it to the gym again last week. Just once. I have a weird work schedule since I am a substitute teacher. The days when I have a job, I'm too tired to go after school. The days when I don't have a job, I'm too depressed. I just can't get myself together lately. :think I have my gym bag packed and ready in the car, so maybe I can trick myself into going. And here is my challenge ticker. I've only got 4 weeks left. It probably isn't going to happen. I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, just realistic. Anyway, I'll be happy if I can get down to 210. I have a 4th. fill scheduled for December 13 (my lucky day).

    Any Bookworms out there??

    Lisey's Story is next on my list to get from the library. I know they have it, the book just hasn't quite made it to the shelf yet. I also keep meaning to look for Ender's Game but haven't managed to remember so far. We've got another Heinlein fan! I just finished reading his "new" book Variable Star. I loved it. I'm adding the collaborater (sp?) Spider Robinson to my list of authors to look for. This is rapidly becoming my favorite thread.

    Progress Pic!!

    Well, my ticker has slid back to the left some. I'm not real stressed about it though. It was a combination of Thanksgiving and sloth-ness. Those two things won't coincide again for at least a year. I went to the gym once last week, which isn't great I know. However, it is an improvement over not going at all. I'm making it a goal to go twice this week and work my way back to being a faithful gym-goer. I spent the morning playing around with a virtual model and photoshop. I'm including a picture of my "virtual progress" in this entry. Its probably going to be too big. I'm not sure how to deal with that.     I just got back from the gym. I made myself get up and put on my workout clothes. Then I drove straight to the gym. I've gotten some great support & encouragement here the last few days. Losingjustme, MoOrLess, & Teresita: thanks so much. Y'all really helped. A round of :clap2: for y'all. I've got some current measurements to post today too. The red is total shrinkage since my surgery. Bust 48in -4 Waist 46in -5 Abdomen 51in -4 Hips 47.5in -5.5 Thighs 27.5in -3 Arms 15.5in -4 BodyFat 41.2% -3.3%

    Still a sloth...

    Why can't I make my lazy butt go to the gym? I don't know. I'm tired of thinking about it. It is hard to find the time what with my 3 jobs, errands and such. I could if I really tried, but it just seems like too much effort. Like I said, I'm a sloth. Another week gone, another 5 lbs. gone. I'm about 12 lbs. away from achieving my 3rd. goal. I hope my dress is still on sale. Unless my restriction tightens up real soon, I'm going to schedule another fill for the first part of December.

    Any Bookworms out there??

    I've read Dune but I never really got into it, the same with the Foundation series. I don't know why, I just never got into their worlds I guess. I loved Farnham's Freehold. I've never read a Heinlein that I didn't enjoy. I've read all of the Outlander series. They are really great. Historical fiction/romance/fantasy/action/adventure. What more could you want? I'm really open-minded when it comes to reading. I'll give any genre or author a try.
