I had my surgery on the 20th, and also had a hernia repair. I have had some pain too, but it is starting to subside. I am sticking to the full liquid diet to let everything heal properly. Each Dr. is different in what they advise, but your Dr. knows what is best for you. Keep up the good work, and try to vary your diet. Cream soups are great for that. -
I'm not really hungry right now, but eat to make sure I don't get sick and vomit!
I am a little tired, and it amazes me that some people were back to work so soon!
I don't know if it is because of the hernia or what, but there is no way I could go back to work yet.
I have a full day scheduled for myself on Tuesday, and am thinking of rescheduling some of my clients. I don't think I can do 8 hours standing on my feet.(I am a Hairstylist)
I'm not really having any gas pain right now, just the pain from the hernia. I did talk with the Dr. on call last night, and she advised me to take my pain meds. I don't like the way they make me feel, but I did take a half dose, and follow it up with some tylenol 4 hours later. I have been trying to alternate between the two so I don't feel quite so groggy. I'm such a light weight!(just when it comes to drugs)
I agree that we can never have too much support, and I added you as a friend.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon! My Dr.'s office is closed, and I just wanted to confirm what I had a feeling was the source of my pain. I see you are also here in Florida. I am in Merritt Island, had my surgery in St. Pete.

My Dr. or nurse didn't tell me anything about extra pain, but I sure am having a problem with it. What did they tell you to do for it? I am on Nexium, and taking antacids with gas relief too.

I had my surgery on the 20th, and also had a hernia repair. I am experiencing alot of pain up high, and am guessing it is the hernia that is bothering me from some of the other comments. I can't get comfortable. Last night I was up all night, couldn't sleep because of the discomfort. Is anyone else experiencing this?:wink2:
