    Dr. Beausoleil in Moncton, NB

Hi Kmason, I was banded by Dr.Beausoleil on April 13 and he is very good. He does have a long waiting list. I waited about 4 years before I met him for the first time last year. My first meeting with him was very quick meet and great. He asked a few questions and recommended the LapBand vs the other surgeries. (The LapBand was the only one I wanted). A month or so later I went for the info day session with other patients getting the surgery. The day was full of info on all the surgeries, recovery, diet, physical activities. You meet the nurses, dietitian, physiotherapist and psychiatrist. A few weeks later I went to sign my consent papers. In march this year I got a call for my date April 13!!! I was sooo exited!!! Went in for a weight in and info to start my liquid diet for 2 weeks before. The surgery went very well. I've lost 20 pounds so far.Not as much as others because I can't really exercise. Buy still very happy :bored: I'm going for my first adjustment next week so I might start loosing more after All in all Dr.Beausoleil is very thorough and strait to the point kinda doc. You see more the nurses and the dietitian than the doc. The wait sometimes at George Dumont is for appointments but worth the wait! lol Hope this help some....If you any other questions ask away!

    Hunger Pains?!?!

Hi Everybody, I was banded April 13 and having a problem for the last week or so. When I'm hungry my band really hurts. I woke up last night to pee and woke up hungry. I figured I would just sleep it off but the shooting pain started and I could not sleep. So I ate 5 triscuits and the pain stopped and I fell asleep. This happens a couple times a day and especially right before bedtime. Is it normal to get this hunger pain? Also does anybody get soar sleeping on their stomach? Thanks!!! Continue all the great work fellow Bandsters!!!!

    Hi

Hello Everyone! My name is Daisy and I've been reading all your blogs for almost 2 years. Always afraid to write my own but here we go! My journey started 5 years ago. Got denied 2 years after then accepted a year after and finally got my date today!!! April 13 2010!! I'm instantly nervous!! :wink2: My story is a long one but I will keep it as simple as I can. I am 28 years old and have been always overweight throughout my life. In 2003 I started to have a limp in a leg and my family doc suggested the LAP-BAND®. I was no no no I don't need surgery! If I want to loose weight I will do it on my own! But my doc told me it toke a few years and we don't know what's going on with your leg so you might need it then. Boy am I happy he pushed me. 5 years later I am wheelchair bound. I can still walk in the house with a walker but because of my weight it is very hard. In the last 5 1/2 years I have gained 75 pounds in being less and less mobile. I know weight 295-303lbs. I am very happy to have some closure. I wondering if anybody knew someone that went through the LAP-BAND® that was wheelchair bound? How they healed? I'm a bit scared for the gas because I've read from you guys that walking helps with the gas...So we'll see how I manage. Well here I am! Thank you to everyone for their blogs!
