Hi, I started mine yesterday too. I have bought a whole pack of 4 weeks liquid diet from better md. you can go to their website, anyway, their shakes are very good, im really surprized, i have had protien shakes before and they leave that gritty taste in your mouth, these really taste like chocolate or vanilla shakes. I mix mine with skim milk and ice in the blender. My situation is a little different though, My surg is sched for aug 5th, and im getting the run around from insurance. they told me yesterday that i only have 2 co morbidities, and that the med director needs to look at my case, the insurance lady told me that its not looking too good, but its still in review, this is soooo stupid to me though because i have a bmi of 41, i only need one more co morbi, or 1 more risk factor, i told my dr, fine,,, i smoke then, i mean i have in the past, well, i should find out something in the next couple of days. Try looking into this better md stuff. it really is good, im just having a hard time because i really want to eat..... Jo -
Hey there! the surgery wasnt painful or anything..... the g1 gas that your doctor will put in your stomach will be very uncomfortable you might feel the pain in the shoulder... you just need to put heating pad on it and take some x gas strips. i have lost 10 pounds on after surgery liquid diet. it is not hard because you will get full really quick but dont forget to sip!!!!!! or your stomach will hurt
( it been one week for me and my stomach is still swollen and i dont get that hungry... i know you can do it and i wish you the best! -

Aug 5,tenatively, ordered my 4 week liquid diet, nerveous about that whole thing. start doing that next week 21'st. I hope we can stick with each others progress. I am getting a little nerveous.. -
Hi everyone, first off I have been on this weight loss game for way too long. I have had it and decided to go see my dr about the lap band. I weigh 220 am 5'5 almost 5'6 and apparently qualify for lap band. I have health plus ppo and am sched to have my psycological done on june 15, meet with bariatric center surgeon on june 18. Do you all think I qualify, my insurance does need a 1yr of weightloss efforts by my dr. in which I do have, she put me on adipex, went to ww. tried on my own. Does anyone have this insurance?? Do I need to gain more weight to get qualified?? I feel sooooo yucky now, my clothes dont fit, summers coming and the cellulite on my legs and arms are driving me up a wall.. I did the whole working out at the gym for 2 hours, had a personal trainer... I AM SICK OF IT ALL!!!!!! Now im scared they are going to tell me I dont qualify.... Please someone help..... Thanks...
