My story...I've been overweight as long as I can remember.  Growing up my first medically supervised diet was when I was in fifth grade and they and many other diets have followed.  I've done about every diet known to man and even some I've made up on my own.  My mom used to always tell me, "You'd be so pretty if you'd just lose some weight."  So, I was always trying to just lose some weight.  I have lost some, I've gained lots!  It's always gain after losing.  I got married for the wrong reasons, I was convinced by my now exhusband that I had to marry him because no one else would want a fat girl like me.  I married because I was convinced I was the biggest fattest ugliest cow that ever walked the face of the earth and I was lucky that someone would actually want to marry me.  My wedding dress was a size 26 the biggest you could buy at the time and I had seven inches added to it.  At that time I weighed around 320, I'm now 260 so I have managed to lose some and keep it off for a while. My attitude started to change when I turned 30 and realized that I had spent half of my life worrying about what other people thought of me.  So, I changed the way I was thinking and now, I am doing this surgery for my health. My biggest weight loss was the day that I got divorced. It's amazing how my attitude changed once I got away from him.
I have been divorced for three years now and have made some pretty substantial accomplishments on my own.  This weight challenge is one of my biggest challenges and it's one that I am ready to conquor now!  I am going to win this battle of the pudge!
