Hi everyone....kindred spirits! I have a BMI of 38.6 I have struggled with weight my whole life. I have asthma and I have recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I knew the apnea was sometimes a deciding factor for the insurance companies when deciding whether or not weight loss surgery will be approved. Sice I have the apnea diagnosis, I decided to start looking into the lap band. I have an appointment May 30th to discuss options and insurance. I am on the bottom rung of the ladder....still in the first step phase. My insurance carrier is BCBSIL. I welcome all advice. Thank you
