Hey all, I just wanted to know if anyone in here has used Dr. Laporte's office specifically Dr. Frances. Dr. Kelly Frances. I want to see if anyone has used them and tell me how their progress is going.

I just wanted to drop a line and say hello to everyone. I am pretty much 100% better and eating pureed foods. I LOVE THE BAND, I can't wait until my first fill though. I am loosing weight and eating good and have started walking and feel GREAT. All of you late bandsters and September, Don't back out. You might get scared etc etc. but it is worth it. I have been converted, saved and banded. LOL hahaha I feel great now, the port area is a little sore but no pain meds. The first two days was HELL but the 3rd day I was about 96% better. I love how I am feeling and can't wait to have the weight melt off. I am down 15 lbs since Monday but I will update my weight after I meet with my Doc to confirm my weight loss. I hope everyone is doing great and all those that are being banded this month, just be ready and make sure you pre-pare all your foods before hand... It definitely helps. Well, I am going to bed. Yah I weighed in on Monday at 369 on my weight and today I was 355. Not to shabby... My scale is off so I am waiting to post my new weight until I do it at the doctors office. I weighed in on surgery day at 348.1 so I will wait and see what the Dr. scale says next week during my first post op visit.

Hey Everybody, I haven't been on in a while but tomorrow morning at 6 am I am going into my lapband surgery. I am a little freaked out but excited. I am just nervous. I don't know what to expect!!!!! Well, I hope everything going ok. I will write back to everyone on Tuesday or Wednesday to let you guys know how I am doing. Wish Me Luck and say a prayer for me tomorrow morning. Ciao

I am going to my Surgery with Dr. Laporte's office on Monday August 14th. They are great so far and I have no complaints. They work with you all the way. Dr. Kelley Frances is doing my surgery, she has a lot of experience with LapBand. Hit me up if you have any questions at all.

RLITTMAN Thanks for that information, that is very very helpful.. If you can keep me posted even if private, because I am going for my surgery next Monday and I am getting nervous. So you were able to tell when you got full? How are you feeling so far?

I started my liquid diet today. Sunday August 6th AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH How do you do it? Well, I have to do this all week, then Monday the 14th I am in surgery. I am starting to get very nervous man. Crazy... Excited but nervous. :scared:

As time goes on, you will realize that it is always there and you don't need it. Then as the band date gets closer it will encourage you to slow down and start eating right. It is slowly starting to happen to me and I am not that far away. I am still going to vegas next week for the buffet's LOL as my "AST MEAL" It is called the LAST MEAL SYNDROME. Hahahahaah LOve it :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: ^^^^ IN ORDER ^^^^

You don't have to tell anyone about the surgery. If someone asks you What are you doing to lose all that weight? Your response is simple and not lying. I am eating smaller portions and eating healthy. I am also exercising and it is working great for me. That is it... Is it a lie? No because you are eating healthy and exercising. They don't need to know that you have "The Band" I hope this helps.

I am going through that right now, I NEVER EVER EVER ate McDonald's but once I found out I was getting banded, I started eating it almost everyday. Next week I am going to Las Vegas and I am having the buffet etc etc. But once I get back, I am going on my liquid diet and eating healthy 100% I already started actually, After you realize that it is there and ask yourself " Why am I eating like I am going to die" Then you will stop and not crave it so much. Ask that question everytime you get ready to eat McDonald's or Taco Bell. Hell yah, LOL Homer Simpson "Mmmmmmmm Taco Bellll Drool" You will find out what you are really feeding, it is working for me and my ultimate test is the buffet. I will not eat to get full. I won't allow it!!! But I get banded on August 14th. WOOHOOO

Well, I had my Dr. Lecture today and I missed it... I was late cause I went to the wrong place.. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHh They almost canceled my 1 on 1 today and I was pissed. I told them what happened but they didn't care. Then I told them that I went to google videos and watched like 4 whole surgeries on video on how this is going to be, but they didn't care. Well, anyway I still have my appointment tomorrow with the Dr. and I am going to try to get another fix in there. I have Diastasis Recti and I want that to get fixed. Well, I am going to Las Vegas from August 1st thru August 3rd and I am going to have FUUUUUNNNN Well anyway I haven't posted in here for a while so I just wanted to give an update. I also updated my signature, with my weight. A WHOLE 369 lbs . I am going to start my liquid diet very very soon. WOOHOO:faint: :faint: :faint: :)

Has anyone have gotten to the point where they had a tummy tuck and other things? How long after the Lap Band did you get it and how much did it cost? If you haven't had Skin Removal or Tummy Tuck are you going to get it? :help: :help: :help:
