Hi, to all. I haven't been on here in awhile. I haven't had any problems with acid reflux in the past. I was wondering if anyone else might have. It mostly happens when I'm asleep early morning. I feel as tho right at the base of my throat I need to swallow and I can birp acid kind of hot stuff. My fill in not to tight. I can eat mostly anything, but have to chew really good. I'm happy with that part. If anybody has some advise on this I would like their oppinion. Thanks!

Hello to all. Haven't been on for awhile. I had my 3rd fill today. I haven't had any restriction, don't think I will with this either. But today when she injected the saline, unlike before I felt a big rush kind of painful sensation. Is this the saline going in the tube or what? It did not do that the first or second time. Also there wasn't all the saline in the band that should of been , I think I'm supposed to have 1 1/2 or 2cc. I have the 9.75 band. It is so frustrating, cause I haven't lost any weight at all since I had this done in July 06. Then you read of poeple being tight and can't hardly eat anything. I will probably go for my next fill under flouro. Was just wondering if anybody else had this experience. Thanks

Help! Fills Are Not Working!!!
swimswiggs replied to oh to be thin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi, you sound like me also. I have a 9.75 or something like that band put in on July 26,06 Had the 2nd fill last week. No restriction. I feel as tho, there is nothing there. I have no problems otherwise. I'm not losing . It's so frustrating, that's why I told my mom not to tell all her friends and other people about what I had done and now they all wonder why someone that had a weight loss procedure hasn't lost any weight. It's also getting expensive driving 2 hrs and paying $ 150 for fills that are not working at all. Is there hope that it will, I was self pay and I feel like I may have wasted my money. Any body else have this problem ? -
All who have been banded by Dr. De la Garza
swimswiggs replied to MollieBeth's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi Mollie, I was banded by him on 7/26, and everything went just as you said. Only I wish they spoke more english, but they knew what to do. I didn't have any troulble, just the usual with this type of surgery. I live in florida, and had never flew on a plane before. You can imagine what it's like facing being banded and then get on a plane. But I loved it. Got over my fear of flying. Now I'm ready for a fill, cause I have no restriction. I did loose about 10 or 12 lbs. and haven't gained it back, but I'm ready to loose more. Guess I'm going to the fill center in Lakeworth as it's closet to me. I hope you have good luck, keep your fingers crossed that my fill works good the first time. Take care, I'll keep you posted. Vicky Waters
