  1. Happy 31st Birthday Tiggerangel!

  2. Happy 30th Birthday Tiggerangel!

  3. SO i was banded 5 months ago. Ive lost 50 lbs and I feel amazing. Up til afew days ago! I just got my 4th fill 2 and a half weeks ago and I was fine. Last Wednesday i started vomiting everything I ate. And I had a Dr. appt on friday but I cancelled because I thought my cousin gave me the flu. And i was able to eat on thursday. Well over the weekend its gotten worse and i can barely keep WATER down! I'm scared my band has slipped! I'm calling the Dr. office first thing in the morning to go in. I feel a little weak but not super sick or dehydrated. Any advice????
  4. SO my first fill was not what i expected. I'm terrified of needles and I've heard other people talk about their bad experiences. A girl i know said that her Dr gives her a small shot to numb the area. Right before i was going to get my fill i asked my Dr if he was going to numb me and he jokingly said "never!" I was like what!! So i laid down and i got my fill and i swear it was like like nothing! i was like what! That's it? I was very surprised! It was super easy and not uncomfortable at all. I hope your experience is the same! So far I'm convinced that this is the best thing i have ever done for myself. I still have problems with restriction as well but i can not eat anywhere near what i was eating before. I was off work for 4 weeks and just went back last monday. Being off was nice but i was glad to get back to a routine. It's easier to follow my food and Vitamin schedule when im at work. I'm also working out alot. I walk/run at least 3 miles aday and i also go to the gym at least 4 times a week. I'm feeling great! I started my preop diet on Dec. 17th and since then i have lost 23 lbs!
  5. Hello! I just want to see how everyone else who had surgery the same time as me is doing. What was your surgery like? What has been your experience since then? What works for you? I would love to share the same and I am open to any questions you have as well!
  6. I wanted advice. Even if it was not what i wanted to hear i would have accepted it and been thankful for it. What I didn't appreciate about Spartans responses was that he or she or whatever the hell it is was rude and was making a personal attack. If someone asked for advice and i felt that they were exhibiting destructive behavior I would definitely step in and give my input in an encouraging and positive way. Spartan is cynical and negative and i don't like those kinds of people. I am a happy person and i just feel sorry for him because there may be some underlying circumstances that we know nothing about. But i would never judge....i come on this website to learn and to offer information on my personal experiences. Not try to make someone else feel like they are failing. I'm my case I know that i am already a success so negativity doesn't affect me. But what if words such as spartans really put someone else over the edge when it wasnt necessary? I would just never be mean to someone like that. I'm treat others the way i want to be treated. Maybe Spartan wants to be treated like a Douche bag.....Who knows?
  7. I haven't been on a in a few days and I didn't realize that there were so many responses! this is why i love this site! On Friday I went out and I had an awesome time! I danced the night away and I had my Cape cod (just one) and got a nice little buzz...comparable to one that i would normally get after 3! I want to thank everyone one for their advice and input. Except for spartan. I would have thought that knowing we are all going through the same you would have a little more respect for personal decisions and that the judgments would be to a minimum. I don't know you or anything about your life but you don't seem like a very positive person and that makes me sad for you. I can guarantee that I will reach my goal weight in less than a year....in fact...I'm on track to reach 125 lbs in less than 8 months. I go to the gym and/or walk at least 4 miles EVERY DAY. So the only advice I have for YOU is to ask your Doctor to remove the stick out of your ass  Thanks again guys! And if anyone in the LA area wants to have a Lapband "night out" and have a cape cod with me...Let me know!
  8. So its been almost 4 weeks. I'm feeling awesome. I have lost 20 pounds (some from the pre-op diet). I walk at least 3 miles everyday...even weekends. I'm eating exactly what i'm supposed to and I even got my first fill yesterday.... I'm going to one of my favorite bars tomorrow night and I just want a drink! Cape cod! Every time I ask my Dr or some other professional they always say "For successful weight loss alcohol is not recommended". Duh...I am fully aware of that! I just want to know that if I have a drink (or 2) will I be OK? How will drinking effect me now? Any stories, suggestions, or comments would be awesome! Thank you!
  9. Hi Tiggerangel,

I finally figured out how to read your message. I could not find you . I will be having my procedure done tomorrow, Jan14.

    How did your went?

  10. Hi! Thank you for replying :blushing: I don't mind the scars at all. And i don't care if people know I had the surgery. I just think it might look creepy! I guess its just me being weird about it...
  11. OK so I was under the impression my port was gonna go more towards my side. But when I woke up after surgery it was like 2 or 3 inches above belly button and like another inch or so to my left. I was like WTF....I mean I guess it doesn't matter. But I'm extremely motivated. I plan on sticking to my diet, working out, and being very fit. I do not want it to show through my skin. Thank you! <3 Angelina
  12. I had surgery on Dec 29th and my Dr. required me to stay 1 night in the hosp. I didn't want to at first because other Dr's don't make you stay. But I am SO grateful for it now. I don't know how people go home the same day. I was in a good amount of pain and the pain meds were awesome! lol. They were also Giving me blood thinners every 8 hours and checking my vitals and had those things on my legs...kinda like massagers to prevent blood clots. I had an awesome surgeon and I was at a center of excellence hospital. I know all this was just a precaution but I felt so much better knowing I was in good hands in the event that something did go wrong. Now i'm feeling much better but im still taking a tiny bit of my liquid vicoden. And I do have an extremely low tolerence for pain so that might have something to do with it. I'm just wondering what other peoples experiences were like...either staying in the hospital one night or going home the same day... Thank you! Angelina <3
