hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm really struggling to get all my protein in. never gave it a thought for the first 6 months but I've been on a plateau for about 3 months and i read that we should be eating 60g of protein a day. I really struggle with meat, and in a chicken breast there is 22g of protein - I'd never be able to manage a whole breast. I drink a pint of skimmed milk in the morning, 15g protein, but thats my best efforts so far. any ideas or tips? Thanks

i had my surgery oct 08, and have only had restriction in the last 2 months. when i had 7.5 in my 10cc band i had very little restriction, so i went for a fill and they put 0.5cc in and it was too tight. they took a bit out and i'm at 7.8cc now and it is perfect for me, i think maybe you need another fill. I have lost 50lbs so far and 15lb of it is since my last fill, you need to go see your doc.

hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows if you have to have an unfill if you have surgery? my fill nurse says yes but I'd really rather not and just wondering if this is the hospitals rules or rules of the band? can anyone help?

thanks guys, you've really helped. Its a tummy tuck and breat uplift that i want, haven't had a consultation yet so i suppose i'll see what they say but if they leave the decision up to me I'll probably leave it filled. thanks for all your replies

its not that i dont trust her, I was just wondering if that was their policy or the policy for the band, to be honest I'm hoping people say you don't need an unfill in which case I will try different places but if the general rule is you do I can stop wondering

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you need your lapband unfilled before surgery? I asked at my last fill and they said absolutely yes because when you;re recovering they want you to get all the nutrients to make you heal better. I asked them if this was the rule at their hospital or a general rule and they brushed off my question. I was hoping to stay filled because i want a tummy tuck and my fill nurse said it needs to stay empty for 8 weeks!! I can't imagine what a horrendous time I'll have trying to keep the weight off especially as I will have a brand new tummy!! Can anyone give any advice? thanks
