Im also a miltary spouse with tricare and all i needed was a referral from my pcp, i went on may 15th and had my surgery on June 10th was quick tricare approved on may 27th..i had to get all the preop testing, blood, ekg, stress test, pulmonary fuction test, chest xray, shrink, nutrit. was at my surgeons office..my surgeon actually said tricare is one of the most fastest approval and i had no other health problems besides being obese..works for me check into it

  4. Dr. Ganta is my surgeon and im getting banded on June 10th, hes been great and i love his office staff.. the personal trainer / office manager has also been banded so she knows exactly what its like..love it, so excited can't wait
  5. yea u are right,,im feeling pretty good been walking since about day 5 at least 30 mins a day...feeling better no more pain meds..i go to the dr tomorrow to see how much ive lost since surgery...can't wait for mushies..

  7. im not cheating nobody but myself and its not work it pretty soon it will be mushies i told my husband that i can't wait to eat some pureed ham..lol its seems like a meal fit for a queen..im sticky to it..i got some other kinds of soups like chicken noddle and just strained it..the chicken broth got old by day 3-4..i also added sugar free fudge popcisles dont know if i could but the calories and stuff aren't much different from the fruit sugar free popsiciles that helped..but dont worry bout the applesauce just keep doing what you suppose to from now on out and remember y it is we are all here

  8. im actually feeling pretty good,,the only prop i have is when i walk i have that pulling in the port site area im sleeping fine, i get hungry as well but right now i eat about 1 jello and 1 popsicies and im pretty full for about 3 hours once im full i don't think about food at all only when im hungry i don't work either but i have to cook for my husband and kids..its hard but i stop and think about it i didn't go through all of this just to cheat..

    i was on 30 carbs, 3 g.fat, 70g+ protein a day..64 oz of water of course i lost about 10 lbs during the preop..now idk i go in thursday for post op appt. to see what ive lost siince then..yeah
  13. im feeling ok, had the single incision i posted pics of it..can't really see much..im still on liquid thats the hardest part i feel...one more week then ill be on mushies can't wait..applesauce looks like a 3 course steak meal now a days lol..but the healing process is going great i go tomorrow for postop appt..i lost a total of 12 lbs before my surgery and hopefully ive lost a few more in this week,me and my hubby got a bet he says he thinks i've lost 20 lbs or more idk..we will see

  14. today woke up feeling ok,, but throughout the day kinda been nauseated not much but just to wear i just lay down and it goes away, im trying to eat just so i don't get weak seems everything makes me feel nauseated except water..and feeling kinda chillish i checked my temp and it was 99.3 don't know if that would be called a fever or not no swelling no redness..chest still kinda sore when i breath but still doing the breathing excersices and trying to cough every hour..anybody has any words of widsom and relief..just know kno im not the only one u guys know..some comforting

  16. hows the mushies been treating you im guessing it seems like a meal fit for a queen after the darn liquids..lol im holding on its not bothering me i just know i want this weight off and thats the only thing on my mind is to do what i need to in order for that to happen...

    well i do have a question..can everyone feel there port..im either unable to feel it or im just not pushing hard enough to feel it..maybe its the swelling but idk..somebody please tell me

    like most of you i was also banded on june 10th,,the first 2 days i slept on the sofa but then i went to bed, first night (day3) slept on my right side then last night was able to move from side to side slowly, my only pain is near the port site just the pulling and stinging like feeling that stops when i put my hand over it when i walk..doesn't hurt at all when im sitting or bent over..gas i still have it but walking helps most def..

    thanks again to all you guys, just wondering ive been looking for things or signs i mean im doing everything right by the book but just wondering what exactly causes erosions or slippage,,and what are the warning signs..everything feels just as it did on the day of surgery by means getting better of course..
  22. So i had the sils band yesterday im feeling pretty good can't really complain,, a lil sore and a lil gas but overall i can't complain to much..just wanted to see if anyone else has recent surgery and how are they feeling.

    Liquid diet :(

    hi, i myself have been on liquid diet since june 9th, banded on june 10th, im not really having an appetite for nothing so i just use the sample menu the drs gave me and i don't even get that much down..my main goal is taken my vitamins, getting 3 protein shakes in a day which fill me up and drinking my 64 oz of water my main thing is i know ill lose the weight if i contine to do right thats my goal right now.."EAT TO LIVE, DON'T LIVE TO EAT"....thats my focus if you feel hungry just remember y ur doing this in the first place..drink more water to fill you up,,go take a walk,,play a game watch a movie..more or less its ur mind not ur appetite..
