Hi, I just moved to Austin, Tx from California. I am looking for a Fill doctor in the general area. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. If you know contact info and costs that would be super as well. Dave

It seems every 10 lbs or so my weightloss comes to a stand still and I need a fill to get it going again? Is this normal?
-
Great, I guess I will take some time off and go get a fill.

I had no pain at all. My did experience some minor discomfort at the surgical sites when I switch positions while sleeping. As well as very minor gas. I think I really got off easy. I started walking 1 mile a day today.

Ok I think some if not all has gotten the wrong idea from this post. I simply asked has anyone done it or know anyone that has. I never said I was going to, so RELAX. Don’t read more into a post than what is there.

Things People Pass Off For Compliments and Things Skinny People Say That Piss You Off
david6789 replied to j_war06's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I work in a pretty small area, I would say 50 sq ft. And we have a TV we can watch when the job gets boring (the reason I am fat, ok maybe not the only reason). So about 4 guys were sitting in chairs (chairs with wheels) watching TV, one was my best friend. I came in to work and grabbed a chair. I sat in it and rolled over to the TV area. A tape (Computer system backup) mount popped on the computer and I grabbed two tapes and begain to roll over to the tape drives (maybe 3 feet away). Just then my so called "best friend" said: "beeep, beeep, beeep ...". Like you hear when a garbage truck is backing up or something. Everyone looked and laughed. He said he didn't mean it in that way but it hurt so bad. Wow I almost cried just reliving that to type it out. -
Wow this southern California Radio Station is giving away a free Lap Band procedure including 12 month of after care!!!!! I just entered the contest and hope I win. I am not sure if I can post the name of the Radio Station and a link so until a mod says its cool you will have to PM me for it. Dave

Aetna supervised nutrition/exercise criteria???
david6789 replied to david6789's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did speak to someone at the surgeons office and they have a program that will qualify. Unfortunately the only surgeon under my insurance plan is in LA with is 180 miles away. There is no way I can travel that far 3-4 times a week. -

Is Lap Band right for losing 80 lbs?
david6789 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am starting to second guess my desire to get lap band. I see a lot of ppl on here that got lap band but they were 100+ lbs over weight. I need to lose 80 lbs, give or take, to be my "ideal weight". I think one of the things that is making me second guess getting the lap band is I will have to go into further debt to pay for it myself. Any thoughts? Anyone get lap band and only needed to lose 70-90 lbs? PS I really really hate being fat, I think about it every day (maybe every hour). I so depressed about it, I've been fat all my life. God reading over this post I sound like a nut job! :wink2: -
Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

I want to use Dr. Kirshenbaum. Natalie said I need to bring another person with me because "The surgery center will not discharge you to a cab driver because you are under the influence of narcotics (general anesthesia)." But I really have anyone that can come with me. Any ideas?? Dave
