Hi AN, my stay at the hospital was great. I really don't remember that much. I got to the hospital at around 525 am and by 730 I was having my surgery. They first had me put on my gown then they did my iv and washed my stomach, gave me a shot i think it was a blood thinner. (not sure though) I was then rolled to another holding area where I talked to the dr. there they gave me meds to put me to sleep and all i remember from that point is waking up in the recovery room. I wasn't in horrible pain but I can just remember my belly hurting and the nurse kept saying cough for me. I was like heck no woman i don't want to. Anyway I think that the pain is moderate and I did take Loritab which has codine in it for the first 2 days. I hope this helps please feel free to ask me any questions.

Hi AN~ (ok?)
For me it was pretty painful... not totally unbearable, but enough to get the pain medication every 3-4 hours.
I was up walking about 3 hours post-op. Walking really helps.. It's true! I was banded Friday 5-8-09 and I feel much better but still some pain in my lower abdominal area (can you say gas??) and turning in bed it a bitch. I had to take some liquid vicodin this AM for the 1st. time. I went right back to sleep on my port side... So we shall see how the next few days go.. I'm very excited. Take care.
P.S. Are you banded yet?
