I Love this idea! My surgery is June 25, it was supposed to be May 19th but my Cardio wants a few more tests. My list is:
1. I will wear shorts and not feel like the whole world is watching and laughing
2. I will be able to buy clothes that don't have an "X" in the size!
3. I will find clothes "on Sale"
4. I will be able to hold my grandchildren on my lap without them being on the edge of it!!
5. I will wear a bathing suit again and swim with my grandkids
6. I will finally feel healthy again
Hi again Julie, When I went to my seminar (in North Jersey) all I had to do was give them my insurance. They new what each insurance company requires, and what you have to do, they even made all the calls for pre-approval.
Hi Julie, I am from NJ as well. I am pretty sure that BCBS requires documented weight loss programs. WW can give you a copy of you records and you give that to your DR. They will give you all the info you need at the seminar. I am fortunate to have Oxford, they don't require any "pre-op"
weight loss documentation.
I am schedule for my surgery next month and until today was very sure. I have been reading post by people who have had problems with the LapBand and it has shaken my confidence a little. What advice would you give a pre op candidate to avoid the gastric problems I read about?
I went to several seminars offered by different doctors in my area. I chose a group that has the best after care/support and has the highest number of procedures a year, they made me feel very comfortable. They do other laproscopic procedures but bariatric is a large part of their practice.
Any recommendations on which Protein shakes are the best?
Thanks Cathy.
I think I can do it too. If I am not hungry I can do just about anything, it's just when I hunger hits I have to come up with ways to get over it. Any tips and tricks to offer?
