    Painful sleeve with pregnancy

I'm 32 weeks and I haven't had any problems with my sleeve hurting. Maybe acid reflux has you're sleeve upset?

1.5 years out and 11 weeks pregnant

trust me when the scale started going up I panicked a bit a few lbs isn't going to kill me. I've gained and lost over 1000 lbs in my life. This time I get a baby as a prize. I'm ok with putting in the work after baby comes to slim back down.

1.5 years out and 11 weeks pregnant

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant too and almost 2 years out. I have gained 9 lbs so far and yes I do look pregnant. Listen to your body I have had periods of ravenous hunger and others when I don't want to eat..
  6. I've been sleeved for almost 2 years and I'm 31 weeks pregnant. I have only gained 9 lbs despite how much I eat. There will be times during your pregnancy when you will feel ravenous, listen to your body stay hydrated. If you need to get that protein shake in to up your calories for the day then do it. Pre pregnancy I hovered at around 1200 calories a day. I haven't been counting as much as I used to but i consume about 2000 to 2500 calories on a bad day lol

    I suck

Please try to stick to your doctors recommended diet. You just had surgery that removed 80% of your stomach. Everything is pretty swollen and numb. Key word being "numb" so you might not feel the potential damage you are doing by advancing your diet before time. Trust me you don't want to end up with a complication or a leak because you have no self control. The reason they have you on liquids is because upsetting your sleeve and throwing up at this time can cause a bleed or a leak. Keep that in mind next time you think you might be hungry. I've been sleeved for almost 2 years it does get better as the days go by.. Chin up I'm here if you have questions or encouragement.

    So thirsty and in pain

along with keeping hydrated make sure you are moving around to get that bloated feeling to go away. Once your abdominal cavity isn't full of gas and you're hydrated you'll fell so much better.

Help! I can't keep any food down!

Best advise is go back to liquids. Specially if you're having a hard time eating. When you trow up your stomach gets irritated and swollen making it difficult to hold food down. If you continue to eat and trow up you can end up being so swollen you won't be able keep liquids down. Do liquids for a few days then try puréed soups, yogurt and then progress your diet slowly adding one ring at a time. You just had major surgery give your baby tummy time to heal..

    has anyone else had....

I have never heard of anyone eating raw fruit this early out from surgery have you been following your doctors diet? Maybe the acid from the fruit has irritated your staple line. Call your doctor ASAP you might need to be checked out for a leak.
  14. I gained 6 of the 9 lbs in week 20 to 24 lol you will put on some weight I'm almost 2 years out from having my sleeve and was at goal when I got pregnant.
  15. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I've gained 9 lbs so far, looking to gain another 10 before I'm done. The plan is to get back to my goal weight ASAP after the baby comes.

    Cant pee?!

Sometimes it takes the anesthesia a little longer to wear off sounds like your bladder hasn't gotten the memo. Run some water and sit there you'll be able to go.

    glucose test

I took and passed the 1 hour glucose test at 19 weeks gestation. Most common side effects of this glucose tolerance test are vomiting and diarrhea. I had the worst case of dumping within the hour my sleeve doesn't like all that sugar. But my blood sugars were just fine..

  20. A nurse can make as many calls as she wants but if your douchebag doctor doesn't answer the phone there isn't anything she can do in regards to that lol.. Be patient or try calling the Dr yourself..

Not one of the lucky ones

clearly you didn't read the OP it says he can drink water and keep it down.

Not one of the lucky ones

If you are having a hard time with anything thicker than water the simple solution is to water down or thin out your protein shakes. You just had pretty invasive surgery and have a lot of swelling. Luckily you're not throwing up and can keep water down be patient. Trust me you have plenty of reserves you will not starve to death. As long as you can stay hydrated you'll be ok. Continue to walk around to get those fluids out you'll be glad you did. PM me if you have any questions I can help with.
