Well I went yesterday for a fill from actually 8.4 to 9.4 and I now get full up to my throat with liquids. I m sticking it out for a week to see if this feeling subsides, I already have an appointment for next thursday or Tuesday if it is unbearable, untill then I ll sip my protein throughout the days. At least I know what it is like for restriction, I was getting concerned maybe there was something wrong with my band and now I can see success in the future.

I need sought of a fast answer from someone who knows. I have a 14cc band and I have a 8cc fill. I ve been trying to see if beer has affected me and so far I have no problem. My restriction is minimal and can eat anything so far the only problem I have is in the morning it seems like I can only handle liquids but the rest of the day anything. I would like to know if I drink beer on the cruise (which I reserved before I decided on band) would I be doing any damage. I m scheduled for a fill when i get back which the dr. said he will do as I request on the amount since I really don t have restiction. The cruise is tomorrow so I ll be happy with any fast replies. Thank you in advance

Allopurinol is exactly the correct Rx for the gout. I ve had it for almost 30 yrs and the only that was the drug to prevent the uric acid buildup in your body. For fast relief the dr. might perscibe cholchicine or indocin but indocin is strong on the stomach and I know before LB I had to take it with food but never for long periods. Good luck I know what your going through

this is agreat and informative sight. You will find more information on this sight than in the doctors office People who have been through the LB surgery know alot of answers to questions you have and some questions you didn t even know you have. In the short time I m using it has been very informative about pre op and post op. Good Luck and I hope you will enjoy success.

I went for my 1st fill today and the doctor could not locate my port. Has this happened to anyone else? I m scheduled to go for x-ray and flourescope fill next week . What should I expect?

Hi there. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and always had a little pain around the port area but last night i started getting sharp pain if I move a certain way. I m wondering if this is from bending over and tying my shoes. when I make sure I stand up straight the pain goes away. Did anyone else have this problem? I thought I was doing great as far as pain was considered until this started. I have an appt. for my first fill on Tuesday 6/2 so I hope this don t prevent me from the fill.

Sad....really pathetic- addiction to soda pop manipulate the band
get fit replied to lapbandtalker's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I hate to tell you this but you are probably addicted to the caffeine in the mountain dew so you should try to at least gradually cut the caffeine and the carbonation should stop at once before you mess up the pouch completely which is just a matter of time. -
Now that i m banded 3 weeks ago and feeling hungry I was wondering what is the average time for us to get our first fill.

thanks to all who responded to my question. I never even asked about my first fill when I saw my surgeon one week post op. I ll call tomorrow and inquire about it. -

well i m on my 8th day post op and feeling great. Got my staples out today, lost 6 lbs past week so Im ready to move into exercise mode and make the best out of the band I can. I m now on phase 2,blended/pureed till day 14 and so far i think i will do good on this phase. Today I had a banana, mashed potatoes w chopped spinach topped with canned fat free beef gravy and to me it tasted great . If anyone has any tips for this phase please post. Thanks and good luck.

maybe when u had the stapples out the last time it was to early. They came right out as the doctor was talking to me while he removed them I didn t even know he was finished,I had no problem at all with them. Its no worry at all they will not be a problem especially when the reward is so great.
