Hi TIN have a great night tonight. The only thing I can say is I stuck to wine but what a cheap date I am as I felt it really affecting me after two, so drink slowly. You dont want to get carried home at 10pm lol. Enjoy yourself Jx:drool: -

Cheers Odge My appointment with Wendy is at 3.30pm shame as I would have loved to have met up for a coffee but I have to work until 2pm. Im not too concerned about only eating mushies and I think I will try the rice with sauce as Im getting a bit bored with the fish and cottage pie. Hows your weight loss now. I know Ive only lost the 16lb in three weeks but it would have taken me ages to lose this normally and people have already commented and asked me if Im losing weight so all good. :rolleyes2:Flirty good luck and thinking about you Jx -

Hi odge hope you find your fill beneficial this time. I am not due one until the 11th of August. I know what your saying about chewing your food but its really weird. I can eat fish pie but not scrambled egg it doesnt matter how much I chew it, I tried again this morning and pbd it, horrible. I thought after 21 days I would be able to eat some sort of solid food but definately not. Like I said earlier I was dying to try some cold meat and ate a small piece ie. 1/2 inch of sliced turkey breast and it was agony I also chewed this to mush but no avail. I can have cottage or fish pie if eaten very slowly. Jx:huh2: -

Good luck with the footy TIN. How are you doing food wise are you eating any solids yet or still on mushies? The stitch isnt there all the time but I would say its there around 40% of the time. So glad Gillian, fatduck and you said you have the same as I was beginning to worry. Im still on mushies. Jx -

I would be too scared to try bread or Pasta everything Ive been eating has been mushed up, like I said before poached egg was like eating a golf ball whole so sore. I know I also have to slow my eating down. My scars have healed really well , The one the port is under is the largest scar. I would say this one has healed last and is a bit like an indentation on my stomach the rest are just like small scratches and Im sure will disappear shortly. Jx -

Bobo the band is really confusing Ive not had a fill yet and at the moment Im sticking to mushies. I had a poached egg and it felt as if i had swallowed a snooker ball whole so painful, but I had a boiled egg mashed in a cup and it was fine? I think Im allowed to start eating normal food on Wednesday but Im terrified at the thought of it as I dont think it would go down easily. I mashed sweet potato and it was agony but ordinary potato no probs? All trial and error I suppose and also learning to eat slower after years of eating too fast. Jx -

Hi all and good luck to people being banded this week. I was just wondering if anyone has had a constant stitch in their side. Ive had this on and of since the op and Ive had it all day today. I just returned to work this morning as I have heavy lifting and my doc wanted me to stay off for 2 weeks. I am now 17 days post op and feel fine except this bloody stitch which is so annoying. It comes on when I am walking or being active. Jx -

Hi Gillian did your doc put down your thyroxine because he knew you were losing weight or was it your yearly check up for thyroid. Dont want the amount of thyrozxine I take to go down just yet. Freckles I hope you managed your weetabix it doesnt sound as if you are having much to eat and youve got to look after yourself girl. Tee bird, 2 stone well done girl, and long may it continue. Jx -

Hi TIN Im getting on ok and yesterday went to weight management as I had been going to them before being banded and didnt want not just to turn up so I decided to go and say goodbye to the nice people I had met. I really dont know exactly how many calories Im eating but its not a lot. Ive had a weetabix with skimmed milk for brekkie, three crackerbreads with philadelphia for lunch and a kids fish pie from morrisons for dinner. I did have a packet of quavers spread out over an evening as well one night. I know Im eating very little fat. I tried mashing and adding gravy to sweet potato but it hurt and wouldn't go down. I have to eat my weetabix very slowly as I can really feel it so I use a lot of skimmed milk to make it mushy. I got an email from Evelyn and she is doing fine. Jx -

Well went to weight management I have lost 12lb not sure if thats good or bad but I have a severly underactive thyroid and it would normally take me months to lose this so I must keep positive. Gillian thats great 3 stone, when did you start to see the weight really shift and get into a kind of weight loss rythym if that makes sense? Hope all new bandsters doing well. Im still on mushies and bought a kids fish pie from Morrisons today and had it for my tea, it tasted sooo good. Jx -

Going to weight management class this morning and having to tell them Ive had the band put in. The reason behind this class is to discover why you eat so much and to train you not to ,so dont think Im going to get good reception but feel I owe them an explanation, also its on the NHS so dont want to just leave without saying anything. Small amount of cous cous for lunch and was starving by dinner and had a large bowl of mashed potato, swede, carrot for tea. Is this the right amount Im consuming. I feel really full after the mashed veg but it was a large amount. Jx -

Good luck anitahug its exciting eh. Iwill say when I was there last week there was a lot of mosquitos and to say I got bit is an understatement. The rooms have no air conditioning and it was 26deg last week , we opened our windows and hey presto were bitten alive. The beds dont have a top sheet just a quilt so had to either sleep with this on top or the mossies had a field day so take some repellent. Jx ps had some boiled egg mashed in a cup this morning Im in heaven. -

Good morning all. Graduation reception and party went well. We had to go to a swanky hotel for free drinks, I had a fresh orange while every one else was getting stuck in. Back to house for party for what I thought was 30 guests as son said he was inviting a couple of freinds which turned out to be 15, so numbers now at 45. Anyway, I kept myself busy filling guests glasses. I had caterers do the buffet but didnt have any. I forgot to eat, and had 3 glasses (small) red wine but over a period of 8 hours. I Really enjoyed it but Im shattered this morning. Jx -
