Hi Carrie wow 5 new bikinis you knock em dead in the Gambia. I only had 3 ml in my band before flying to florida and it did tighten for 4 days I felt quite restricted but funnily enough it loosened and on flight home I felt no difference. These bands are funny things, I have eaten a weetabix many a time and this morning I Pbd it dont understand it. I know Im desperate for a fill and could eat quite a large portion last night and yet this morning couldnt even get 1/2 a weetabix down. Jx:rolleyes: -

I got some frome M&S the waist sincher ones that come right up to your rib cage worked best for me. I invested in 3 pairs and must say I used them well. You dont get a bandage just Patches over wounds and yes I would say you definately could wear it then. Jx:thumbup: -

Right TIN your spoken for enough of the flirting, lol. I cant wait until my fill but I know it will probably take another fill on top of the one on Tuesday to get some kind of restriction. Is this what they call bandster hell? By the way I l lost another 2lbs weighed myself this morning but havent time to update my ticker I have been sticking to the Protein thing. I must say it was through will power as I am pretty damn hungry. Mandy I hope you have better luck after this fill, I understand you have 6ml put in but how many fills in total do you have? Also wear big panty girdle knicker things, when I had port pain they really helped:blush: Jx -

Hi mandy Im the same as you can eat almost anything and getting more difficult to resist but Im doing my best. Im going for my second fill with WLS on tuesday but know this probably wont give me restriction but with the liquid and mushy diet afterwards I generally lose quite a bit of weight. Ive not weighed myself since I came back my hols as Im scared incase Ive put any on but will defo do this tomorrow. Starsky hope I havent missed you, good luck to you and others being banded tomorrow but I know you wont need it. Will read your post on your return. Just another tip if youve got any of those big panty girdle things that come high up your waist they really give support to the port wound, and as I suffered with a burning, nippy feeling on my port wound, Gillian advised me to wear these and I did for 6 weeks ( different pairs of course:sad: ) this really helped control the pain. Im going for my second fill on the 15th of this month and it cant come soon enough. Since being banded I havent felt like anything sweet or chocolatey until this week and Im trying to be good. I dont have restriction and Im trying to lose weight with willpower and boy its hard. I am starting to feel really hungry but Im doing what Wendy says and eating all my meals from a side plate. Roll on restriction. Jx -

Good luck Starsky and Hopikcat and all others been banded this week. Dont forget to take a decent sized mug as the ones in hotel are tiny. I got banded in june and was bitten by mossies at hotel. We kept windows open as there was no air conditioning in the hotel and they had a feast. My hubby got bit really badly and Dr Chris prescribed some cream for the bites. Also remember to have a nice meal and glass of wine in hotel the night before op as its your last for a wee while. Good luck Jx -

Ah Gary soo glad your back to restriction and you were very wise to get some of your fill removed. We will have to meet up for coffee soon and maybe I will bring my sister as she and her partner are getting banded in October. Freckles my port has moved around an inch to two inches below my port scar but a nurse friend has told me it is the fat shrinking around my middle that is acutually pulling the scar on my tummy tighter and it is this skin that has actually moved not the port. If that makes sense: Jx:blush: -

Hi Oliverdog, they havent had any diet given to them just told to go on a low fat diet two weeks before as it shrinks your liver and helps when the surgeon has to operate to get under the liver, I think? The milk thistle is to get rid of any toxins. I still take this every day as I feel it helps me but everybody's different. Ive told them to come on this site but you can take a horse to the stream but you cant make it drink!!!!!:smile2: Bobo glad your not out of pocket and your doing well. Gary thats great youve got real restriction now roll on more weight loss. Wishful where did you see the machine for £100? Jx -

Hi all, Starsky sorry to hear about your suitcase but well done you on losing 4lb. I hate these airlines that take your money quick enough but hate responsibility. I was delayed in florida for 14hrs but didnt have to wait around, just checked in with cases and was taken on a coach to the Shereton hotel for the evening dinner included. I would rather have been going home but no waiting around an airport so cant complain. Freckles I havent seen photos of your grandchild yet just the nursery. I will have to catch up on posts but what a beautiful name your daughter chose. Thanks Bobo I know I should be pleased with going on holiday and losing weight but I thought it would have been more. Of course I got to think positive and its going in the right direction. Well off to work now first day back, urgh!!!! Jx -

Hi All Im back just quickly scanned some posts and its taken me an hour and not half way through them you lot can really talk!! Well after 16 days in Florida I have lost 2lbs. My meal portions were small as I only ate 1/4 but the choice of food I felt was unhealthy. If I didnt have salad I had chicken which was covered in a kind of batter. I did have a burger without the bun and also pasta. I found it really hard to find something healthy as everything seemed to be deep fried or covered in cheese or dressing. I did stick to scrambled eggs for my brekky but I admit to having a few drinks in the evening mostly wine!!!! BUT it only takes a couple for me to be singing so Im a cheap date. Still normally I would have came back gaining weight and probably a stone or more and feeling bad about myself so back to reality and healthy eating. What I have seen in the forum so far is Freckles grandaughters' nursery which is fit for a little princess. All new and pre bandsters welcome. Gary see you put a new picture of yourself on looking good is all ok after you came back from Belgium How you doing time is now? Odge glad your weight is coming down due to protien diet. Bobo your doing great boy!! I have to go and get some food shopping done now as hubby is shouting he is starving and boys are saying " We all dont have a bl**dy band and we need fed!!" will catch up later. Jx -

Hi all especially to the new bandsters. This is probably my last post before going to Florida tomorrow as Im so busy packing suitcases etc. Just a quick question to anyone who knows. Is it ok to go on the rides at the theme parks with this band. Ive heard Bobo saying his port side was sore after last week at M and D s theme park. Although Im not the bravest person especially were heights are concerned, I dont want to be the coat carrier either. Really looking forward to it so hope its ok. TIN sorry wont see you next month at WLS but totally understand about traffic. I cant get away from work till after 2 so I have to make my appt later. Ah well maybe the next time we meet we'll see a real difference in each others weight, fingers crossed. Gary hope you are feeling better and remember after my hols Im holdin you to that coffee. Jx -

Licha I nearly splattered my weetabix over my pc monitor when reading your post about gym and nether regions, it was soo funny. Gary Im so pleased your all done and dusted and you even got the thicker scarring removed. Maybe it will be better than ever now and youve been so positive. Well done honey. Freckles I hope your feeling better after the wedding and your mums doing ok. Hows the bowels now!!!! Odge it looks like your doing well. I hope you have your restriction soon. Im going to Florida on Sunday and Im hoping I can keep the weight loss going. Im gonna walk a lot and swim a lot and hopefully not eat a lot. Jx -
