Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
homecare replied to susanlondon's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Timeisnow I think the date they told me was august the 17th or round abouts. I know it was too late as I am going on holiday on the 16th and thats why I decided to go with wls. They have a clinic on the 11th of August and definately will not fill until at least 6 weeks after op. Hope this helps a little. j x -

Thats really good gillian. I hope everyone who wants the 6 month package can have it. But Coleen definately said it was no longer company policy to allow this. They wanted them to have 12 months. Hope the decide to cancel this stupid policy. And thanks for asking on our behalf:rolleyes2: Congrats on the weight loss how much is that now? Ive started a low fat diet already 2 and a half weeks before the op as I want to get into the swing of things. I kept eating things and saying to myself it might be the last time Ill have this but I think since Ive decided to have the op all my last taste of things have made me put on another half stone. So enough is enough and thats why I started the low fat diet yesterday. I felt really hungry yesterday but ok today:drool: J x -

I know but I thought euro better placed against the pound so you should get a good deal. J -

Forgive my stupidity but why do you have to worry about converting from euro? Is it not a good rate the pound being weak. What did she offer you just the 12month package. I dare say we will probably need the12month one but finacially it helps getting the 6 month one. J -

I phoned her a while ago and specifically asked for the six month package and that was when she said it was unavailable. They are only offering it to people who have had fills before. I was very polite but I insisted that she check for me due to it only being one day difference from the rule change. She was sorry but said she would speak to her superiours and get back to me. She didnt so I phoned her today and they agreed due to time limit hardly being 24hours they would give me it. Gillian is going to speak to Wendy the fill nurse tomorrow maybe you could ask her to plead on your behalf. I pay £349 and they have taken a £30 deposit which will be taken off the balance. What did you decide to do? Gary is terrific at working out the maths on food, weight etc. Incidetally whats a west coast cooler is it cider? j:blink: -

GAry can you tell me if Mug shots are ok for low fat diet they contain less than 1% fat and are quite handy for my work as some times I can only have 5 mins break. I know the low fat diet is different to an ordinary calorie counting diet. What percentage of fat per meal do you recommend. J x:blink: -

I have just recieved email from frederic telling me I will be met in arrivals by my taxi driver who will be holding company sign. He also says he will visit me at my hotel room at 21h to talk over op and financials (his words not mine). He also says to start my low fat diet 2 wks before op. He then goes on to confirm my flight details. I am a bit surprised as this is the most I have heard from him since I booked! -

Thanks mmm Congrats on the weight loss. So theres a blue and green logo, I think I remember bobo baldy saying the taxi driver holds this up. I also would like to have a list of pre op and post op things to take. Ive got my nurofen melts, Iam already taking milk thistle, Ive got arnica but dont know when I should start taking this and lastly chewable vitamins. I know you wear the hospital gowns but need slippers. What about light dressing gown as I dont want to be showing my A**e, if the gown has an open back? I see some people bought dressings, will I need to take these with me? I know Il need to take loose clothing. Will I be able to read a book? Anything else please advise:ohmy: Thanks J x -

Hi guys another question for you. Do you hear anything from frederic or CDB before you leave for Belgium. Its just Ive been thinking about the pre op diet and stuff and I was wondering if they email you with any instructions about it. Also about the taxi when arriving in Belgium. If youve bought the package does the driver wait for you at airport with your name on a sign or What? I think pre op nerves are starting to kick in and nothings going to plan at the moment. J x -

As you all know Im being banded on the 26th of june I am going on holiday on the 16th of August so was hoping for a fill before going, just to get things started. CDB surgery in edinburgh doesnt have dates that suit me ie too soon after operation and then in August day after I leave for holiday. I am looking into wls at the mo but have to wait and see about six month package. I emailed Chris Deprez for a Glasgow appointment and he says wait until after being banded and see how I feel. If ok he will give me my first fill 17th July 3 weeks after op. I was wondering what you guys thought. Is this too soon? I know everyone heals at different rates, I am quite a quick healer but I have read on many sites its best to wait between 4 and 6 weeks. I have read all of Odges thoughts and I think she was well ready for a fill by this time. Any advice. Jx
