  1. If so, how long did you wait after the procedure to fly back home? My doctor advised me not to fly for a good 4 weeks because apparently flying so soon afterwards can sometimes cause infections, and he said he has no explanation as to why. Anyone else heard of this?
  2. I'm really starting to get nervous now. My husband is in London finishing up his training and nobody will be in the hospital with me when I'm getting the procedure done. I will be spending at least five days in the hospital so I'll see him the next day. I'm just really worried about how the healing is going to be. The doctor said that the arm tuck won't be so bad but it's the thigh lift that might bother me because whenever I sit down to use the toilet I'll be stretching the incision. I also have nursing school that begins 2 months afterwards. I absolutely need to be back to normal by the time school starts because every other weekend I have clinicals where I am on my feet all day. I can't afford to not have my surgery (insurance covering for now) and I definitely don't want to screw over my performance in school. Do you think 2 months is enough time to get back to normal?
  3. Tracymom thank you so much for sharing your experience. Are you happy with how your thighs turned out? I am really looking forward to the surgery and finally being able to accept myself. I am happy to know that you were recovered in six weeks, that gives me a lot of hope, thanks!
  4. Thanks for the reply Susan. I used to visit makemeheal a lot, but now that I'm using internet overseas I just can't get on that website any more. I think it's because my internet here is so slow.
  5. I keep worrying about dying and leaving my daughter without a mom just because of vanity, or coming out deformed! I am having my surgery in Luxembourg where we reside and it's done by my gynecologist who is also a cosmetic surgeon. He performed my cesarean 2 years ago and I guess he did a good job with the my stitches. Problem is there aren't that many options in this small country and I have no idea how to check up on his credentials. He has introduced me to another one of his patients who was post-op and I saw her thigh lift and she looked great. I'm just so worried about all the posibilities and now I might back out. Please send some words of comfort!
