Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Terry: Did you ever eat your nanner? I agree with Michelle... do you really think I'll get to the point of only eating HALF? that would be a miracle.... truly........ me the gal that can put away the better part of a large pizza...... (scratch that........ the gal that USED to be able to ) NSV today.. the ladies at my sons daycare asked me how much I'd lost because they could really tell...... I said.. the same 31 lbs plus a HALF pound.. they were shocked because she said she could really tell especially around my middle....... WOW twice in one day for someone to mention my shrinking belly... I'll TAKE IT....... that and me getting so close to the 230's.. I have been EXTREMELY good...... I put a sun chip in my mouth and spit it back out......... I started to have count chocula cereal but I put the bowl away and then b*tch slapped myself into submission and had a couple bites of cottage cheese instead...... I ate less than half of my leftover porksteak and then forced myself not to have desert......... and now it has been over two hours since dinner and I am DUE for my drink........... I WANT THOSE 230's I went to my sisters and picked up two push mowers and tomorrow I'm going to push mow my yard... (I broke the rider when I treated it like a brush hog) I have a rather large yard for living in town.... it spans 5 lots that I had privacy fenced in when I bought this place post divorce.. I had moved from the country and 6 acres so a yard was one of the things I required..... ANYWAY.. I hope everyone is having a great evening.. now I'm going for my drink.

Welcome puddy and everyone! Gonnabefree and Michelle: Congrats on Fill #1 Lunasa: OMG......... FANNY! water snorted out of my nose when I read the UK definition... Pork Steak is just a different cut of pork often by the chops.. it has more marbled fat which is why it is soooooo tender when you slow cook it. I just place it in a pan and dump a jar of the ragu roasted garlic alfredo sauce and a can of mushrooms bake on 200 for a couple hours (or put it in a crock pot) and it is sooooo good... I've even used the sauce as a soup. My mom used to always put pork steak in her burritos.. those are the best. I finished my payroll I finally figured out how to send a picture from my phone to my email address..... here is today's lunch..... white stuff is 3 cheese ranch dressing.

I ended up having CRYSTAL LIGHT instead of tea.. I thought of Judy! LOL My sister told me today that she can tell everytime that she sees me that I'm getting smaller... she said my belly is a lot smaller than it was at Christmas... (and I thought it hid it pretty well!) God love her even IF she is the skinny one!

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

LOL!!!!!! noticed I haven't changed my ticker did ya....... DBF is out of town this week so I can't run off to the gym in the early am hours.. and yes I COULD go RIGHT NOW, since the place has daycare but that is my entire motivation problem GETTING MY LAZY ASS OFF THE COUCH IN THE PM.. DS goes to bed at 8p........ don't worry though I will be picking back up on MONDAY... I have to PROVE a point to dbf... I think he will end up being a sabatour... and at the same time the food police. I just finished my pork steak and I stuck to a very small portion because I'm afraid it will come back up....... also I had a sbd protien bar about 3:p and all it did was make me hungry (must be the carbs in them) now I'm patiently waiting my hour so that I can have a glass of tea......... because I am THIRSTY but I'm TRYING TO FOLLOW the BANDSTER RULES like Judy does I WILL ENTER THE 230's this week.............. dammit.............. (I keep saying this every day one day it will come true):biggrin1:

    Good Docs In Kc

that is crap! sorry to hear about this hurdle... so frustrating.. you know though.. Malleys office does a once a month meeting with Sally Berry Brown (nutritionist) its free... and maybe if you made some kind of chart for her to initial she could sign off on your behavioral changes.... along with doctors history.. it couldn't hurt.

My doc is the least restrictive in this.......... I had coffee before I even checked out of the hospital after surgery and he gives his patients back DIET soda after the 1 month appointment. He said that he hasn't seen any evidence of pouch dilation with carbonated beverages and thinks that it was mainly a rule geared toward RNY patients. His bariatric coordinator (and also his very first band patient) proudly shakes her dt. coke/dt. dr pepper glass at any who ask her about it) She was banded in 2001 and has lupus and as a result has been completely unfilled, loosely filled and now back to being regularly filled in the time I first started the process. (She is in size 10/12) I do have it but not daily like I used to.

    Did you see BIG MEDICINE??

I watched and it was it was nice to FINALLY see our surgery being featured. Terri: here in KC it is on TLC at 8:00 p.m. (Monday)

    Bathing suit recommendation needed

My swim suit consists of either 1. A one piec "jogger" style with attatched shorts. 2. Tankini top and swim shorts 3. One piece with good "girl" support and swimshorts When I do aquaaerobics I often wear a sports bra in the same color underneath the tankini top... (I am top heavy and need the support) Also when looking for suits I often try to find them with underwires built in.

Good MORNING! The dang scale did not move for me this morning and I woke up feeling thinner, so I'm HOPING for a whoosh soon! I made shrimp scampi last night for dinner it was so good, but I do think the sodium in the sauce might of been the scale culprit. Did anyone watch Big Medicine last night? They had a lap band on I'm guessing they will follow up with her later since they ended with her getting fill #1. It was nice to see OUR surgery for once. I took a huge "contractor" size bag of clothes to good will this morning.. it was both mine and my sons and a few baby toys.... tonight I tackle the dinning room... It is nice to be able to clean my house when dbf isn't there sitting on the couch watching and irritating me....... I will miss him by the weeks end, but right now it is nice. Tonight is my porksteak night...... I think my restriction is going away a bit.... DANG.. I had hoped to stay tight for a couple more weeks.. so now it will be back to willpower and determination.....
  20. thanks for the tip......... ONCE again I've learned something from reading this board! HIYA huntress!

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

I'm eating leftover chicken from last night and it is harder today... last night it was sooooooo juicy I didn'thave to worry. Maybe you need an unfill like TracyK I have found that I can not eat burgers OUT and I'm having a hard time with all things cooked on the grill. Brats and anything with fillers that swell don't go down either....... I have had no problem with spahghetti meat sauce, meatloaf, sloppy joe meat...... (all made with ground beef at home) these are regular meals dbf This week I will be baking pork steak in the Ragu Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce with a can of mushrooms........ I cook it on 225 for a couple hours and let me tell you it is so tender it will melt in my mouth, so I don't have any worries about it getting stuck...... This was a staple meal when I was single and losing on Low Carb... dbf doesn't DO pork so I don't have it any more.. but he is gone all week someone came in my office.. gotta go
