Time for a fill................... I've had 4 agressive fills in just 4 months and now that I'm at my sweet spot.. I want it to stick with me! Also... I would think your doc would be better at explaining your band long term.. but if he/she's not................. then you need to be proactive and start learning how to USE it!

Considering Lapband..should I? or shouldn't I?

what's a calorie?????????????? LOL Seriously........ I don't count them... what I try to focus on is getting enough Protein and Water.... calorie smalorie. Also you need to RETHINK normal. What YOU think is normal might be freaking absurd to me or to the person in the next cube. I have a houseful of boys and we go to buffets and all the places we always did before....... The first time I actually LOOKED around at the skinny people at the buffet I realized that NOT everyone was gorging themselves on 5 plates of food........ there were actually people there eating one plate and then pushing away the plate............. I'm RETHINKING Normal and I invite you to do the same. I wrote on my blog the other ........................ it used to really annoy me to hear skinny people say..... "ohhhhhhh silly me I FORGOT to eat today!" (I was ... yeah right... )................ well... it happened to ME last Monday... I was in a rush and the next think I knew it was 4p.m. and I had NOTHING except my ritual coffee.......... ME... forget to eat? I would of NEVER believed it possible........ but it did... and no.... I have no idea how many calories I ate that day, most likley less than 800......... Today... I've had coffee w/sf creamer B: 1 packet of Weight Control oatmeal L: I tried to eat some meat sauce for lunch but I'm stressed to day so after two bites I was full. w/ 3 wheat thin crackers 40 oz's of water and counting............... and it's 1:22 p.m. and I'm not hungry.......... I LOVE MY BAND! I LOVE MY BAND! -
Good luck with your approval!

boy oh boy;.... I should of KNOWN not to eat ANYTHING today........ my stomach is still doing flip flops..I decided that I should at least go find a new blouse or SOMETHING... so I went to the ONLY non-Mart store in this town........ I tried on 10 shirts all varying colors and styles of red..(someone told me last week that RED was MY color).......... I knew shopping wouldn't be good while I'm in between sizes and sheesh.. wedding day and all............. so I guess the good news is that the 14/16's did FIT, albeit a little snug............. but all I did was get stressed... so I went home to take a bite of lunch......... WRONG... spit it all right back up....... I changed to black slacks and flats so maybe I'll try a MART right after a leave to see if anything strikes me. -

smly: WELCOME... all you need to do is post! Because of the changes to the new board layout.. my original post has to be left alone.. or else it puts all kinds of formating language in it.... We are just about as diverse as you can get.............. the only rule is to be nice to each other.......... -

Welcome Back Terry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Surgery moved up from 11/19 to 10/1, and I have a few questions
TracyinKS replied to Shrinkage's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be all done with Bandster Hell by the holidays....... WHOOHOO A) My insurance required me to stay overnight. A) Surgery on Thursday, back to work the following Monday (desk job and I made myself walk, walk, walk, walk, in the hospital) A) As long as you don't take a handfull at once, a pill at a time has always been fine for me. A) Follow your docs rules especially for the first 6 weeks so that your band can (cement into place) i.e. scar tissue and your likelihood of a slip is greatly reduced. A) From KC.. so I don't know anything about your doc. Get your gasX meltstrips, Get your liquid Tylenol, Get your supply of Soup, and get ready to join us on the other side...... Take a pillow for the car ride home (to hold against your belly) Wear slip on shoes, oh............. and take some Hard Candy for the hospital.... -

Morning Violets! I have a busy day.......... no water all weekend and I bounced this morning.... I kinda have an announcement............... ummmm.......... lemmesee df, me, my mom, my sis........ are going to the courthouse.. we have an appointment with the judge.... not making a big deal out of it because the Wedding is still planned for March that one is for the boys, the family and us............... today is a legality issue..... but my stomach is still doing flip flops... I had weird dreams all night........ I'm happy, but waiting for the other shoe to drop..... (isn't it sad to be scared for feeling happy) I've built such a defensive wall... trying to act like it doesn't mean anything, but it does...... OK, there I said it. -
I've been so bad this weekend............ even at full restriction.. I've been eating crap.. so I know my trip to ONEderland will be off a few days now...... but I WILL GET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya! Glad to meet you! Congrats on your band and congrats on your 40lbs lost........ if you've went up and down but are still at the 40 lb lost .. I count you as a HUGE success! Don't think of it as wasting a year sitting on the couch eating ice cream........... think of it as what it is.. THE PAST! OVER! Kaputt! The best thing here is that you already have a great tool installed... TIME FOR YOU TO USE IT! Time to visit your doc and adjust your fill level.............. TIME FOR YOU TO START LIVING IN THE PRESENT! You are sabotoaging yourself........... STOP NOW! Start working your band and the only thing you will be overestimating is your clothing size! (and this comes from someone who had a small chocholate shake today) This is life baby............ time to step up to the plate. -

Happy Sunday...... HH: I think on the avatars a side by side would be too small since the pixels have a max limit of 50x50, but you could add it to your signature. Mel: Congrats on the case! Haydee: I hope you start feeling better... between the move and all the painting you've probably wore yourself down. Denise: WOW.. ok... I thought the pregger daughter was the one with issues...... SO glad that it is not. If it makes you feel any better I was happily married and mature at 18.... by the time I was a jr in High School we had already bought our first piece of land... I was ready to have kids then.... but fate had other plans for me... anyway... I am so happy for you and the happy couple.... I don't want to even look at the scale tomorrow........ I've been a bad bandster this weekend.......... OK... gonna go for now... Have a great evening. -

Diane: Reading your thread today made me crack open our newly shipped Medical SPD............. We just recieved our new Insurance SPD's for our upcoming OPEN Enrolment Period (the boring legeleze book that no one ever reads) It's part of my job... so I just skimmed the OBESITY RELATED PROCEDURES section.............What I found made my day: Also included are services, supplies or charges for the correction of complications arising from weight control procedures, such as procedures to reverse any restrictive or diversion ary procedures and such reconstructiove procedures as may be neccessitatied by the weight loss produced by these covered restrictrive or diversionary procedures. Examples of such reconstructive procedures include, but are not limited to, abdominal panniculectomy, and removal of excessive skin from arms, legs or other areas of the body! THIS MEANS THAT I’m GETTING a TT and arms done after I LOSE THIS WEIGHT! Holy crap!!!!! I guess I won't have to start gettracynewboobs.com any time soon! I wonder if your doc takes BCBS???? -

Thanks for this thread and thanks to Julie and Jack for answering! I think we all get complacent every now and again... I think for us in the 5-6 month range its a matter of settling in for the long haul.
