    Shrinkin' Violets Part 3 Read HERE!

    Good Morning........ The link to my blog is: Losing it ONE MORE TIME! I am proud of myself..... last night I was so stinking hungry that I got up out of bed at 10:00 p.m. and gargled with mouth wash....... I ate my dinner portion of tuna patties too fast and really wasn't hungry but I forced it and you guessed it... TRASH CAN..... I did manage to lose 2 lbs so that makes a total of 8 for the test........ it's depressing me that I'm only to the point of Last March when I hit 189 the first time... but I am feeling my resolve come back. Last night DH was waving pretzels in front of me....... I told him to quit being an ass... He got all offended and flopped over in a huff saying that he was only teasing me.. DOES HE NOT FREAKING GET IT??????????? oh well....... Busy day today... my boss is back from Hawaii and its a payroll week. OH.. I started today with the lemon tonic, and I'm having left over tuna patties

    I just fried up some tuna patties except I added the left over spin/choke dip that I brought home with me from teh shower.. YUM YUM .. I made 2 cans of tuna worth... and one pattie pretty much filled me up. I think that this pouch diet is supposed to help us get back on track with our eating ... I think the RNY people get the benefit of shrinking or retraining their pouch.. where as we can just go get a fill to tighten us up. I know that for sure it has given me a PLAN to stick with and it is helping me to get reignited. The part of me that is posting quick little phone videos daily has also been a real help TO ME.... I go and watch them several times a day.... even if no one else view them.. its for me. I plan to make the sausage pumpkin soup tonight or tomorrow night OH and I took 1 month pics of my mom today.

    Gina! I have felt that way too.... and so many of us here have as well..... what makes our little group so special, and why WE WILL MAKE IT through this tough patch. 2009 will be our year! today I've already had 80 oz of plain water 20 oz of CL 1 pot of coffee (my norm) 1/2 cup of scrambled eggs 1 (the last of) bowl of Ham and Cheese Soup I am hungry right now so i'm going to look up the tuna pattie recipe from the 5day site. Hey at least I've got my water in.. so any more is just a bonus!

    Good MORNING! I bounced back up 1 pound to 191... but still down 6 from day 1. I did have a medium dt coke at the movie theater, but I am proud proud proud that I did NOT touch the extra buttered popcorn and raisonettes that DH had....... OH and I did have a caramel coffee from the bar on the top floor of the theater.. (that is probably what did it) almost forgot about it.......... so not great but better than I would of done had I not been on the plan. I did drink about 120 oz of Water yesterday.. OK today.......... from the site: The next three days you get to eat as much as you want as often as you want! Ahhh, but there's a catch: it has to be solid Protein and you only get 15 minutes each time you sit down to eat. No drinking 30 minutes before or after meals and no drinking with your food. A dry pouch will hold your soft protein longer helping your to feel full and fed longer. Protein Recommendations: canned fish (tuna or salmon) mixed with lemon and seasoned with salt and pepper, eggs cooked as desired seasoned with salt pepper and/or salsa, fresh soft fish (tilapia, sole, orange roughy), baked or grilled, and lightly seasoned. Heading off for my coffee (not doing the lemon tonic today)

    Back from the baby shower! OMLORD OMIGHTY it was a hard day.... between cake, icecream, sherbert punch and tons of snacky foods..... I did have about 1 cup of a spin/artichoke dip (NO CHIPS) It was so good, and LOW carb so I justified it that way... I ate it with a spoon.. I got the recipe and will put it down on "paper" later........ So today......... Lemon Tonic (24 oz) coffee w/ sf creamer 60 oz's of plain Water Bowl of Ham and cheese soup for Breakfast Spin Dip for lunch Bowl of Ham and chees soup for dinner (but I'm not hungry yet) So all told I'm pretty damn proud of myself for my day two. I am ditching my party plans for tonight and DH and I are going to use our gift cert to the local movie theater... it will be hard to stick with water only, but I'm almost through day 2....

    Jenn: I was reading the LAwls thread and someone asked that same question. They said you could double the ham. I had my first bowl of soup. I am taking some with me for lunch (baby shower) I need to get started on my water.. although I did have 3 cups of the lemon tonic water, a biggee for me... no diet pop today... no good ass gourmet food that will be served tonight.. (my former boss is like Michelle with the cooking genius gene) this is her annual party.... first time that I've gone since Charles and I have been together. Lots of former co-worker friends. Anyway.. gotta go dry my hair and start getting ready

    I have told you all how bad I retain water! I DID NOT LIE.. I was so dehydrated yesterday and I was in the bathroom ALL DAY........ that is why it is so important for me to drink my water...I will no doubt be stuck now, but I don't care.... yesterday the scale read 197 and today it was 190........ still a far cry from the 174 I was a couple months ago.... but it does do my mind good that I'm heading away from the dreaded 200 mark. This was the wake up call...... that and all of you who are being good.... I'm posting video's on my blog every day of this test... today was no makeup hair in pony tail...... LOL but its real life me. The lemon tonic was potent.. I did put a bit of honey and two packs of splenda in it to get it down...... now I'm on to my coffee.... I plan to have the soup all day. I have a baby shower AND a holiday party with former co-workers...... so it will be a true test of will power to just drink water....... WISH ME LUCK.......I hope to see the 180's tomorrow.

    The soup is super good....... I'm full now. I guess I need to drink some water so that I can flush the sodium out. I will be eating it for all my meals tomorrow. The tofu is weird feeling but like Judy says, it is tasteless. I did not use light anything (except for the tofu)in it because I think its the bypass people who have trouble with too much fat... Have a great night.....

    I'm letting the ham and cheese soup simmer! LOL BOBSTER is quite the JOKEster! (I called Judy from the spice isle of the grocery to see if I really NEEDED the mustard powder) It does smell really good and I am really hungry, as it is very late for me to eat. Tracy you are kicking her right to the curb!

Thanks Judy for the soup pep talk~ Dang it I read the LAWL thread and now know that my tomato soup wasn't the best choice... even with the milk that bumped up the protein. Michelle: WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!! OK... I must really p (I have been in the bathroom A LOT today) 80 oz of water down... SF pudding cup SF jello cup coffee w/sf creamer water protein slam tomato soup with milk...... This is the best I've eaten in a long long long time

    are any of you 5dayers making this tonic? Lemon-Ginger Tonic Begin each morning of the 5 Day Pouch Test with this comforting and cleansing lemon-ginger tonic. The lemon-ginger tonic will increase your energy and work to detoxify your stressed digestive system. In addition, this tonic has a cleansing affect on the liver, and increases the production of bile to clear any backlog in the common bile duct. Using this tonic as part of your 5 Day Pouch Test will leave you feeling cleansed and powerful with an eagerness to take full control of your pouch. 2 lemons, washed and sliced 1/2-inch thick 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger 3 cups boiling water honey or artificial sweetener to taste In a teapot or saucepot combine lemon slices, grated ginger and boiling water. Cover let steep 10 minutes. Pour tonic through strainer to remove solids. Drink warm adding sweetener to taste. Garnish with lemon slices if desired. Be sure to drink all three cups. This is best first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything else. If you are on Days 1 & 2 (liquid days) you do not need to wait 30 minutes after your last sip of tonic to have your liquid meal. I like to start my day with this tonic even if I'm not on the 5DPT. Getting the day off to a clean start helps keep me on track.

    GOOD MORNING and Happy 2009....... I am doing the liquid portion of the 5 day pouch test...... I just drank a Protien Slam, drink I brought in SF jello, and 1 sf pudding.... I need to go get some protein powder or something and I need to finish buying ingrediants for the soups I am back up 197.......... but I know I'm very dehydrated from the drinking on NYE. Off to get some water
