Well.... the upside to this day is that my payroll is almost complete! :cool: Please everyone "Say a prayer" that the best interest of my son comes to be tomorrow........ I don't care about the money part of it....... I knew I would never get money..... and if I can get his parental rights relinquished I am writing off the money!

For a while my now 4 year old had to quit climbing all over me and no lifting for 2 weeks! Now it is a non issue......... he still climbs all over me and I wrestle him in and out of the tub and clothes!

I had the same options as you with insurance.......... Do a search for Band vs RNY and you will get a lot of great responses....... for me... this is what stood out. 1. 2 days off work (Surgery Thursday back at my desk Monday) 2. MAINTENANCE....... with the RNY it is possible to stretch your pouch and gain your weight back. With the band you can get filled or UNfilled during times of medical need. 3. ALL MY PARTS are intact. 4. I retain the nutrients from my food, the RNY is MALABSORBATIVE (sp?) which means that what you eat does not stick and you must take bariatric vitimans for life. 5. I have two friends that had the RNY...... and I knew their path wasn't mine.... ONE is fighting a major regain and thinking of getting banded over her stretched out stoma/pouch.... the other is 2.5 years out.. she looks great, but is fighting a 15 lb regain. It is up to you......... you must research and make your own decisions...... GOOD LUCK!

I am scheduled to go in every 4 weeks for the first year, however I called right before my Sept appointment and asked if I needed to since I KNEW I didn't need a fill, and they said no. My next appointment is Monday 10/22........ and I don't know if I need a tweak or not....... time will tell.

ME.......... and my post from January on the insurance threads....... OMG...... guess my cyberlife is outed..... shit.

Good morning all!!!!! I guess I have been laying low.. but not on purpose.... the last week was preparation for Open Enrolment, and tomorrow is THE big day in court. I've been losing lots of sleep over it. I have 23 family and friends attending with me and we are ready to go forward with an adoption if needed. (this is what I really want) My very logical child would understand both he and I changing our names at the same time.... and we would both HAVE the same last name....... Shrek owes $9240 in back support to ME..not the state, ME... He owes the state nothing because I've always carried my own insurance and never been on any kind of assistance..... I guess he had court in Septemember and showed some paycheck stubs where support was taken out...... but then those checks written by the employer to the state bounced.. so he has until 10/23 to pay $800.00 of which I received $10.42 to my CS account today........ The funny thing is......... this man is so slick.... I swear if he put his talents to use for good he would be very well off..... The employer name........ Big 8 construction........... I think this was a completely bogus company........ and I'll explain, He is a Demo Derby FREAK...... his derby number is 8 as in 8ball, and he has several times tried to start working for himself under Big D Construction/HandyMan/Painting.......... He even had business cards and flyers made up before me and during my time with him.... he could never follow through or keep his word and it always flopped....... I've also seen him try to pass off old money orders as child support payments...... and then it buys him time when the court puts tracers on it........(See.. slick ass manouvers to buy him time and to get his ass out of the courtroom) So anyway....... my guess is that he or someone he is close with set up a checking account and paid him from it, showing support was taken...... and then the bad check was written off the account......... I could be way off...... but the name is just too fishy... and the fact that ANY employer would bounce a check to the STATE........ doesn't add up....... I have to bust booty today to get as far with my payroll as I can, because I'll be off tomorrow afternoon... Lots of drama... and it stays in my head......... rolling around with all the what if's...... I just wish the judge would QUIT giving him chances!

Morning!!!!!! Bubbles I MUST drink hot coffee in the am in order to losen up my band a bit! I have been eating WC oatmeal about.. this morning I tried some of the special K Cereal and milk before coffee and nope nothing........... The scale thank goodness went back down so my day of being bad is gone... THANK GOODNESS!!!!!! I am heading out to my dr. support group meeting in a bit. It will be the first one since banding that I've been able to make. I am wearing my WWJD bracelet and I have a feeling I'll be telling everyone all about it! There are usually a lot of pre bandsters curious... and since I am down 59 lbs......... I'm sure I'll be asked questions... It is storming here.... a good day to curl up in bed and stay there. I am up and drinking coffee in my jammies....... the scale did bounce UP two pounds but I can live with it, because I did not even have ONE SIP of water.... so I know it is mainly fluid...... even though I graized on crap... everything was bite size and not the full size versions also offered... it just felt sooooooooooooooooo wrong :cool: The good thing about my band is that it is right here with me ready to help me be good today and tomorrow........ I'm getting ready to go eat some oatmeal and then get Robby in the tub. Have a great day!

NOT ONE MORSEL OF REGULAR FOOD TODAY....... til dinner and it was half a bacon spinach salad and about half a cup of soup............. the up side I guess is that on a normal meeting day where I'm buying the crap and setting it up and cleaning it up ............ I would of eaten A LOT MORE plus ALL MY MEALS! I don't want to face the scale tomorrow but i WILL........ I will not be at work tomorrow............. I firmly beleive that EVERY SINGLE HUMAN ON THIS EARTH has atleast ONE endearing feature! A positive attitude can make the otherwise average feature RADIATE! I just made an orthodontia appointment for myself.. I've decided that I'm going to straighten out all the work and hard earned money my mom spent on my teeth as a kid..... (I didn't wear the retainer AFTER braces and now my teeth have shifted... so I'm going to see about getting them fixed) Had I not resumed my former confidence I wouldn't of cared enough to do this......... Look at my preop pic....... I WAS MISERABLE! I am no longer that woman... I am getting BACK to my former self... and average looks aside................. Welcome to LBT! I LOVE MY BAND! I too have close friends who had the RNY and one has done great and one has not...... THEY BOTH love their RNY's but no more than I LOVE MY BAND!

MS_Jen: I haven't tried any chewable vitimins but I can swallow a Centrum carb assist horse pill with no problem. Remember from way back in May when I helped that lady at work get a job, and then I took her to my moms storage unit and got her some furniture????? Well.... things have happened, she's still here but right after I got her signed up for our insurance she got sick and ended up a week in the hospital.. and the chip on her shoulder about her hearing impairment reared its ugly head with the other housekeepers ...and drama has ensued... (they are a petty bunch ANYWAY) ............. and I had to really distance myself from an HR standpoint because she kept running to me instead of her boss.......... (her boss is my GOOD friend) anyway...... things have settled down and way back when I got her the stuff from storage I also went to the DMV and picked up a practice book and printed out some practice tests from the net so that she could get her instructional permit for driving....... Well YeSTERDAY I took her down to the DMV after work and she PASSED the written test........ She was so proud of herself that she started tearing up she kept looking at the temporary license, shaking her head...... I was so happy for her.. as this is her first step into freedom...... (I've had my own car since I was 14 so I can't even imagine NOT driving and not KNOWING how to drive) Now that she has the permit she could get insurance and then buy a cheap car....... (she has driven logging trucks in Canada, but it wasn't on a highway or in a city) When she lived in the UK she walked, road bikes, and didn't have a need for a car........... I will probably take her to a big parking lot and give her some lessons, but I drive a rather large TRUCK..... Oh and in scale news I saw 214.8 for a SECOND............. OK time for my WC oatmeal
