Average weight loss is 1-3 pounds per week (according to my doc) so it could be anywhere from 50-150 lbs per year.... The people who seem to do the best are the ones that stick to a lower carb (Higher Protein) eating plan and exercise..... Lots of factors can hinder a persons success...... IT IS NOT A MAGIC BULLET it is a lifestyle change.. I agree with others, he needs to make his decision, and both of you need to face the realities of a FORCED change. I've been jumping through the insurance hoops and just found out today that I have to wait 11 weeks for my surgery......... worth the wait??? HELL YES!

I am a benefits/HR person for my company, and it was at the BCBS SC office this past summer that I was at their office for "train the trainer" meetings... it was there that I found out that our SPD ALLOWED for WLS, because I am HR, I am the main contact for my company with BCBS and we were given a special person to be our contact......... anyway... I just sent HER the following email: (btw thanks for posting the billing codes) Hello Lisa! Here at the Mother House location, we got our new ID cards in Tuesday’s mail. YEAH! I have a question for you. In 2007 I’m going to be having a Lap Band put in, CPT Billing Code: 43770 – Laparoscopy, surgical, gastric restrictive procedure; placement of adjustable gastric band (gastric band and subcutaneous port components). I’m also enrolled in the CDHP (HRA plan), and utilizing the FSA. I know that in our SPD we have a provision for it, my question for you is there any special paperwork for OUR PLAN that I will need to complete. I know a couple other employees have approached me already with the same kind of questions, and I want to help THEM as well as myself……….PLEASE HELP. Thanks everyone!!!! I don't know... heck I'm editing lists in both the February and March threads... I'm pretty bummed about the April date but trying get over it.... I think I'm going to start a serious Low Carb diet and set a goal of losing 25 lbs before surgery so that I can have a head start on Spring.. and I may start a new thread for it.... There is the chance that I could move up the date by a cancellation.. BUT I do payroll every other week, and my boss has both a big vacation and his daughters wedding coming up.. so the dates I could actually be off are slim (since my doc only does them on Tuesdays and Thursdays) I'm looking on the bright side here.......... I have a date, and I have insurance approval.. and I'm really getting this done... and it is BEFORE summer..... I really thought I would be a March bandster but had hoped for February.... anyway I'm rambling..... If anyone wants to take over the editing of the list please feel free to do so, just copy my latest list and then paste into a new message.... Then go edit that actual message daily.. (its pretty cool that this board lets you constantly update your prior messages) I will lurk and post here too..

:update: APRIL 26th, 2007 I guess BCBS has been approving LapBands like wild fire and since they (dr's affiliation) only have ONE center that accepts them (Menorah) I am bumped all the way to the end of April. I am a bit depressed about the long wait, but am happy to at least HAVE a date and I was put on the cancellation call list. :typing: Now I'm off to update my RL people who know.

I'm trying to stay positive.... but I didn't get my scheduling call yesterday and I was very depressed about it..... (I am a planner by nature and my entire balance goes off if my plans go awry) ANNOYING HABBIT... especially for the men in my life! LOL... just ask my ex husband and my current dbf... but today is a new day

So sad... I just heard this on the radio not two minutes ago! Anna with her current legal problems from the TrimSpa suit and the loss of her son, who was touted as being her best friend, she most likely gave up on life....... that poor, poor, poor baby girl...
