Hello all: I didn't exercise last night, but tonight.... well I've still got several tons of gravel in my driveway, just begging for me to move them! Also the grass MUST be cut, although it will be with the rider. DBF is sick and I want to stay away from him.. with surgery a week out, I'm worried that I will get sick and mess it up. Have a great day!

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! DBF called and he is going home sick.......... OHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOO! I don't want to get sick 1 week before surgery. I'm seriously thinking of stopping by Walmart and getting some Airborne. What do you think? -
How do you know a goal weight?
TracyinKS replied to WASaBubbleButt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I set my goal as 160 ish......... because 3 times I've been in the 170's and felt I looked good, and that is where I "go off the low carb bandwagon" and end up where I am now..... I was wearing solid size 12's, and several size 10's while in the 170's. If I can get past the mental hurdle of the 170 crash.. I may even go to 150...... but who knows....... I've got to make it through surgery first! -
Thats WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better wear them now, because before too long they will be falling off your skinny ass!

4 wks now: eat & drink together?
TracyinKS replied to guns n roses's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Bandster Rule: DO not eat and drink at the same time. (ongoing) reason: Fluids will push food through the band thereby allowing it to pass and you will not stay full as long. (Also why they want you to eat the hard Protein vs soft) The goal is for food to sit in your stoma and to disove slowly. Some don't abide by this rule, and some only take a drink if something is too dry to go on its own. Most, will make sure the moisture content of the food is enough to get it down. -
Exciting!!!!!!! :biggrin1:

It is just starting to really hit........ I think THURSDAY will be the beginning of my FREAK out period.. (thats when I go to the hospital for my pre-op bloodwork) I really hope that I can lose at least 4 more pounds, so that I can mentally be at 20 down before surgery....... would LOVE to make it to the 240's but last week I lost nearly nothing... I seem to remember that my weight loss tends to go in cycles.... 1 week of losing pounds, 1 week of inches, back to 1 week of pounds.. and so on..... (by the time I should be hitting my first plateau should be surgery)........... Terri: Congrats on the 204!!! You should be in Onederland by the time my surgery rolls around. -

Am I Really On My Own Now?
TracyinKS replied to guns n roses's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You are in what is LOVINGLY called......... Bandster Hell! LOL the time after surgery and before your first fill! The first 6 weeks are for healing, but also you need to stick to your docs plan so that those stitches can heal around your new band. -
firts time at this site
TracyinKS replied to allangail's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Read this site.. the entire site... Many of your questions (if not all) will be answered... For me and I would guess for most here the EMOTIONAL eating and the HEAD Hunger are real reasons why we are in the situation. You do have to change your mindset, you DO have to be ready to change your life. The emotions do not go away and it is up to you to work on them. Keep your hands busy, take a walk instead of eating for Stress... I know sounds easy, but the reality is hard (at least in the beginning) As for Bypass.... My two RL best friends have had it..... one is 4 years post op and the other is 2...... both lost around 120 lbs...... the four year patient has gained about 40% back, and the two year patient just had a breast lift, tt, and lipo......... the one who gained is now thinking of getting banded because her pouch has stretched..... I knew going the RNY route was not for me, I can lose weight.... but keeping it off is my problem, my VOLUME eating is a problem.... the band will help me to control the VOLUME, and will also help me maintain, because 2-3 years down the road if I start getting complacent or sloppy with my choices.. I will GET A FILL... where the RNY people can't. Good Luck -
(April Bandster peeking in) I felt the same way.. relief and a light at the end of the tunnel!!!! OH and I too have to be at the hospital by 5:30 a.m. :biggrin1: The upside to this is getting released early on Friday. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

WHOOHOO Tammy! I think you look sassy! I think this is just the beginning of "YOUR YEAR OF TAMMY!" and you deserve it. Good luck on the fill today, may you have instant restriction.
