No , i started at my Dr. office and shes the one who had me consider lap band . which i had already been looking into anyway . thing is you have to see your PCP every month without fail . if you miss one month you have to start over and your paper starts over . so as long as you don't miss any appts . you'll be good . and your surgeon is the one who just does the surgery but your PCP is the one who monitors you progress and summits all the paperwork to the surgeon . . P.s depending on your insurance you might not need to see your PCP for six months in some cases they just approve and set you a date .
