    Dry Lips??? Help!

Id suggest more water too... now that our bodies arent eating or consuming as much we arent taking water via our food..hence the dehydration..One major part of weightloss is the "fat' Is passed thru our kidneys etc and passed as urine.. sorry to be disgusting lol so the more we pass the more water our bodies need to help it away.also I dont use chapstick I find it doesnt stay on long enough for me I use paw paw ointment thats readily available here in aussie.. I might sudgest you google it you maybe able to get it where u are as well. The ointment is a topical and antibac as well and oh so softening on the lip.

    What Are You Scared Of?

My biggest fear too... was failure and still is.. we put time and effort into this and it doesn't always succeed. Im taking each day as it comes and as long as im losing and not putting on.. its a success!
  5. Im newly banded well 3 months in and have noticed heaps of changes in my body. Its made me think "what can I look forward to?" What are the things I want to do, have done..... so this is for everyone.....newly banded, those well onto the wl journey What are you looking forward to???? For me... Im looking forward to when my BF can pick me up and spin me around....:tt1: Im looking forward to buying skinny clothes and being able to dress fashionably.... Im looking forward to being called a "skinny bitch" and not a "fat bitch"...:tt2: So..... post on

    Please Give me Advice!!!!!

I too had the same problem after my first fill and I too thought I may have had to much fluid... that I was eating to fast or maybe not chewing properly. I got to the point I was either "sliming" and or throwing up every time I had something to eat. Ive since had my second fill and havent had a episode of either. Im not sure why and to be honest was dreading having any more fluid put in. My advice would be to ask your doctor... It maybe you havent had enough restriction and instead of the food sitting ontop of the band in the pouch, that maybe it is getting stuck in the band... As it was with me.
  7. Ive had alot of friends who have had the lapband surgery and all of them have had different results. They are however all in a healthy weight range and only one has lost to much weight and for a little while was under weight. I look at my band as a tool to become healthy and when my doctor asked me what I wanted to weigh, I replied that I didnt want to be a super model, but a healthy person. The lapband isnt a "quick fix" solution as alot of people expect you still have to work at it, but it certainly helps.

    PB, Sliming

I was banded early april and until I had my second fill a week ago, I was also "sliming" and pbing all the time. I have since learnt that if I slow down when eating and take much smaller bites I dont do it as much now, I was also suffering from vomiting after the "sliming". I think its all about "learning" your band, whats comfortable, what you can and cant eat (me for example cant eat bread and have given up trying). Ive made a list of all the things that dont agree with me or my band. I also have trouble with chicken not as much now but i do have to be careful. You have to remember that this is a new lifestyle and all the things we used to eat before, we may have to be carefull with now. Slow down and enjoy your food, that helps me.... good luck!! Ally.
  9. LOL! I love that.... Never been called that before. I am going to put that on my to do list! Goodluck with your wl journey aivey!
  10. Hang in there pudgy, I can understand your frustration.. I was banded on the 7th of April and am going in for my second fill today. The difference between the band and any other diets we all may have been on is that this is lifelong change and there is no putting back on the weight you have lost and another 10 or so pounds as well. May i suggest seeing another personal trainer? one that maybe more understanding to your situation, you cant really train with someone who doesn't make you feel comfortable. As for diet advice im not one for counting calories or journaling so im the last that can comment on that, but I have protein first and veg second, I cant eat bread, but rice in small doses is ok for me and that amount for me is about 1/2 a cup, but i have 4 instead of 3 meals. Keep your chin up and your eyes towards the goal at the end. Ally
  11. Thank you all for your replies. lol I don't expect it to take 20 years to lose, but I tell myself that when I think im not losing enough... Gets me by. I will see what my doctor says as to how much fluid I have and shall need. I guess with my band I will always be "learning". Ally.
  12. I'm newly banded April 7th to be exact. Ive had my first fill 3cc and im about to have my second fill this week. What im curious about and have read about is "the sweet spot" and honestly I don't understand it or what it will feel like. I eat about 1/2 cup of food at each sitting and cant eat bread or the like. If I eat to fast or don't chew really little bits I will throw up. But ice cream and the like I have no problems with.. but i avoid. I've lost about 12 kilos or 22 pounds? But i don't have a loss every week. After my first fill was constantly throwing up. Do i need more fill?? Am i losing enough? I know it wont happen over night! ( took me 20 odd years to put it on!!) Any guidance would be wonderful thank you. Ally
