Hi all, I was banded on saturday June 6, by dr Christan De Bruyne at the Emirates hospital in Dubai. I had to stay overnight in the hospital. I was sore and in pain . I was descharged from the hospital next day, but I wasn't ready yet, because I was very weak. I could't get alot of liquids in my stomach, so next morning I had to go back to the hospital to have some fluids through IV. know I am at home, and feeling much better :grouphug: and allready lost 9lb so far........

In you post you said that today is been 2 weeks for you being banded, when were you banded? and you said you will start solid in 4 days! lucky you. I was banded june 6 went on liquids for 2 weeks, and have to go for 2 weeks mushies, then i can start solids on july 5....... can't wait to be able to eat real fooooooooood.

was your weight between 200lb - 210lb before the op?.... if so lets share weight lose success.... i was banded at on june 6, and my weight was 207.7lb... and now i am 200.2lb ))

i was really scared the night before the op, and the next morning i felt like i will die and wont see my children again, but i said to myself "I have to do it" so when to the hospital and on my way i was praying and asking good for forgivness and thought that this is it.... i wont come out of the op room. But here i am still alive plus i am loosing weight....... new me )) DONT BE SCARED YOU WILL BE ALLRIGHT AND HAPPY ))) GOOD LUCK ))

I was banded on the 6th of June, and doing the liquid diet....................:thumbdown: I want to eat reall fooooooooooooooooood :laugh: how are you doing in this stage? what are you drinking?

I just got this idea if you were banded between 1 june and 10 june, we would like to start a weekly weight check. Every friday we weigh ourselves and see who will be the biggest loser :drool: just a way to keep us running and help each other if you like it please lets start from here ......

Hey jacqui I was banded 8 days ago, i was in the same boat as you are right now. I was in PAIN right in the recovery room, i was shouting right in the recovery room to get some pain releife med. the op was painfull, but i am now happy with it because my food intake is much less than before. :tongue_smilie:)) good luck to you

well I will start, my weight is 200.2 so we will see what my weight will be next week on friday the 19 june.....

i was done on june 6, and had nausea and was very weak. my dr gave me medicine for the nausea. and now i am in day 6 doing much better actually great :thumbdown:)))

Hi LindsayB, I was banded on Saturday, June 6. and was wondering if I made the right desision, because I felt in sever pain and frustrated. Today, I am feeling much better, trying to drink more fluids and protien shakes, soup,... clear fluids. so far i have lost 9lbs, and very happy....

Dear Kspearker I had unsupportive husband too, he thinks that what i need is to excersice more and less food but what he doesnt know is the food addection thing ( so when to the dr, did the blood test, ultrasound, x-ray,..... all by myself :cool:( And being Arab woman I had to have my husband aproval, so it took me very long to convince him eventhough I will be paying all the expenses on my own, because I am a very independent woman :smile:) so Finaly he said that you dont need it but if you want to go a head with it its you choice... and I am very happy now and my operation is on june 6, in five days :bat:))) I think eventually he will support you just because you want it ) still my husband doesnt know or even havent read anything about the prosedure, but it dosent bother me because I am doing this for myself )) at least he agreed now on the prosedure )

Mine is on 6 june 09, i am scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaared..........

Thank you Odgemodge for the clarification about Dr. Chris, however, i will be having my operation done in Dubai. He comes 2 days in every month to perform surgeries her, so lucky me )
