Just like everyone else here, I have tried and failed at weight loss tempts multiple times.  After my son was born, my weight was never the same.  I have finally decided to do something for myself....get the lap band!  This year has been a struggle as I have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.  I have had high cholesterol for years as well.  I am a nurse and have noticed that as the weight seems to keep coming on...it is getting more difficult to keep my energy level up for the job.  I am hopeful that with this lap band tool, I will be able to apply my new eating habits without starving to death.  This is just the beginning of my story and can not wait to see where I'll be in a few years.  I have enjoyed reading everyone's stories and have completely empathized with them.  We are all on the same boat here (some have been on the boat longer) and good luck to all!  Please feel free to email me as I will have my banding on the 7th of August.  Any tips are greatly appreciated.
