Ok Sarg, here you go..... I started Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp at 350 lbs. Today I am at 320!!!!:whoo: WOOHOO!!!:mad: I am ready to continue on! When does the new Bootcamp start Sarg?!? Let's not "break-up" for even a day. We all need each others encouragement and support! I have learned so much from you girls over the last few months. You have been fantastic!!! Tann, girl you are rockin!!:first: You are such an inspiration to me! You have motivated me more than you know. I really look up to you! Keep up the good work!

Sharon I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The first 6 weeks are when your body is healing so not losing anything or actually gaining a little is normal. The band is designed to work better with fills so after those start and they get you to where you need to be, things will change. Don't get discouraged, it's completely normal. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well.

I'm with Kyethra on this one. Benefiber is the way to go. It dissolves completely so you don't have to worry about it clumping up. My doc said that if you need a fiber supplement, take benefiber.

Happy Monday to all! Dh and I had a wonderful weekend away celebrating our anniversary but now it's back to business. Dh took me shopping and I got some new clothes. It was high time since the others hung so badly on me. I love being able to put on smaller sizes! It's still a shock to me. I started m/e again today. Planning to do it all week. I go back to the doc on the 30th and would love to be down another 10 lbs. Time will tell.

When the time is right, it will happen. I have considered waiting until I have been banded a year. I guess we'll see when this summer rolls around how I feel about it. I have talked to my doc about it and he says whenever I'm ready to go for it. My bloodwork always comes back perfect. I'm getting all my nutrients and nothing that shouldn't be high is. He said that's where he wants people to be before they consider it. Only time will tell....

Welcome to LBT! We are always happy to have others join us! Regarding acid reflux...I suffered from this for years and was on a daily prescription to control it. Since about a month after being banded, it stopped. No pills, no problems. Not everyone suffers from it after being banded but some do. There is really no way to know ahead of time. In my opinion, the surgery benefits are well worth the acid reflux. They do have good meds out there to take care of it. Best of luck to you both! Keep us posted!

That's wonderful! Every little bit helps! Keep it up and you will be doing 30 mins in no time!

Anytime. I had my surgery in the states but I know several people on here have had theirs in Mexico and are doing great. Everything that I have read about it has been positive! Search around, I know there are threads about banding in Mexico. If you can't find one, ask about people's experiences. They could recommend a good surgeon to you!

Congratulations Jodi!!! That's wonderful! -
Shirley I am sorry you are having to deal with this. Sometimes it is difficult for our loved ones to understand exactly what we are going through and why we feel we need this. My dh wasn't thrilled about it so we spent a year researching it and deciding. Now, he's as big an advocate for it as I am! It sounds like your family is scared that something bad will happen and they will lose you. Dh was the same way. I had to make him understand that the chance of that was FAR greater if I stayed like I was then if I had the surgery. My advice, sit them down and have a true heart-to-heart with them. Don't hold back. I don't know if any of them struggle with their weight or not but make them understand exactly what it is like for you. Your fears, your pains, your hurt, everything! My dh doesn't struggle with his weight so I had to make him understand. It took a lot of long talks, lots of tears and lots of trust. Good luck to you. I wish you the best. Please keep us posted on how everything is going.

Oh to be in onederland! Someday I will be. I just know it. The weight loss has helped regulate my cycles. I use to be so unregular but now, right on time every month. I'm not on the pill anymore so we try to be careful. If it happens, we will be happy! We may not necessarily have it planned for right now but it would be great anyway. It sounds like for you it was a nice surprise during a difficult time! Children are such a blessing!

TANN!!!! :wow2: You look great!! The camera loves you! You are absolutely beautiful!
-
Way to go Tann!! Boy those suckers sure did travel far! That's alright, they aren't staying! I decided to do 2 days of m/e and see what kinda results I get. I am taking the weekend off since it's my wedding anniversary and then back to m/e on Monday. It gets easier everytime. I have added Benefiber to my every day diet so no more problems in that area. I'm off to a good start today. It's going to get better and better!!

Congratulations! Keep up the good work!

Gloria, that is completely normal. Your band is empty and it is designed to work best with fills. Besides, liquids go right on through so you won't have a full feeling. I know it's hard but you can make it through this. You will notice changes after you get fills. It may take more than one so don't get discouraged. Also, remember the first 6 weeks are for healing so if you don't lose weight, don't get down. Anything lost during that time is a bonus. I hope this helps. Welcome to bandland!!
-
Turner, I was going to ask you if you lost because you were supposed to give some pounds to me and I gained 2 lbs. yesterday. :faint: Ugh! Oh well, I'm working them off today. (I wasn't too good yesterday.) Congrats on the weight loss!!! That is fantastic!! Keep knocking them off! How is everyone doing on Sarge's rules for the week? I wish I could say good but I have faltered some. I'm recommitting to the rules today! I will pull myself out of my lazy slump.
