Hmm...that will take some work. We took the pics at the motel so it won't be the same place. It may take some trial and error but we could put them on the computer and make sure that my height is the same in each pic to determine if he is the same distance from me. That would probably work. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments!

I cannot even begin to tell you the number of times I have failed. I too was so afraid this wouldn't work (and sometimes still am) because I know me and I know how weak I can be. I read something on here once and have adopted it as my life motto....Nothing taste as good as skinny is gonna feel! I have to remind myself of that every single day. It's not easy; everyone here knows that all too well. Keep your head up! It will come off, maybe slowly, but you can do this! Hey just think, the slower it comes off, the less chance of sagging skin! Some of us will be getting tummy tucks to get rid of our excess skin and you'll already be showing off your hard work in a bikini! :heh:

Thank you! :thankyou:I can honestly say that for the first time in my life, I am proud of myself. It is a nice feeling. I am not doing anything special I don't think.:noidea: I am very happy with losing 50 lbs. and that is a great accomplishment but I want to lose 230 lbs. so 50 is just a drop in the bucket. My surgeon has set his goal for me at losing 200 lbs. so I guess I am 1/4 of the way there! I think that the reason mine may seem to come off quicker is because I have a lot more to lose than others. I may be wrong on this, but it seems logical to me. What do I eat? Well, I try to stick to 3 small meals per day. Once in a while I will have a snack but I try to not do that too often. Typical foods for me are: rice chex with skim milk, oatmeal, boiled egg whites, sugar free/fat free pudding (I have lots of it), low fat cheese, some mashed potatoes or baked with a little fat free butter, fat free refried beans with a little low fat cheese on top (YUM!), vegetable soup and fat free yogurt. Other things are: fresh fruits such as bananas, apples (w/o the skin), peaches; my favorite vegetables are green beans, lima beans and broccoli so I tend to eat them more than anything else. As far as meats, I have boneless skinless chicken breast (baked) mostly. My husband is big into hunting so we eat wild game and I never buy things such as beef. Deer meat is a lean meat and better for you. I have had small amounts of deerburger and steak. There are obviously other foods in with these but these are the things that I have most often. Not a lot of variety but so far I am not bored with it and it is working. As far as excercise goes, I try to walk on the treadmill 4 times per week and do some light weights to help keep the sagging skin from getting so bad. So far the weights are working because I don't have any sagging skin! I also don't sit in front of the tv like I did before because I have this amazing amount of energy so I actually want to be up doing things. I did have my hubby take pics of me the night before surgery but I have been afraid to have him take any since because I have a hard time seeing my weight lost (since it's me). However, other people are noticing it and I guess I afraid to see the pics because I don't want to be disappointed if it's not as noticeable as I hope it is. Maybe I will break down this evening and have my hubby take some new pics. :nervous

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
niecyrenee replied to Wheetsin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yesterday I broke down and bought new jeans. I have been avoiding it because I hate to put too much money into new clothes because I don't plan on staying in them too long. Well, my hubby and I went into CJ Banks and I saw that the largest size they carried was a 24 and I told him it was no use, I couldn't fit in them but he convinced me that it couldn't hurt to try. I tried them on and they fit perfect!!!! :whoo: I couldn't believe it!! I had been wearing a 30/32 and assumed that I was probably in a 28 or 26 if I was really lucky but I never in my wildest dreams figured it could be a 24! The sales girl must have noticed my obvious surprise when I ran out to show them to my hubby and she commented on how nice they looked. I felt like dancing out of the store!! I can't remember the last time I wore a 24. Met my personal goal of 50 lbs. by Christmas and got a bonus of fitting into a 24...this year is ending wonderfully! :high5: -

Merry Christmas to all my fellow November Bandsters!! I went in yesterday for my second fill and after trying forever and not finding the port, he is having me come back Tuesday. They are going to do it by x-ray. I don't mind going back because then we'll be sure it made it in. Does everyone have big plans for the holiday? Since our family is about all here, we don't really travel. It makes it nice. Everyone have a safe and happy holiday!

I made it 70 meters but can't seem to do it again. This is a nice break in the day! I can't believe that the top record is 15,551. Geez! Talk about WAY too much time on their hands.

Very ready! My DVR is set to record because I won't be home. I'm real interested to see how all 50 contestants look.

Wanta Know About Reflux Problems
niecyrenee replied to patsygrn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have had acid reflux problems for years!! I couldn't miss a pill without being totally miserable. I was banded a little over a month ago, and I have no problems anymore. In fact, my doctor has taken me off of my meds and I haven't missed them a bit! :clap2: Everyone's experiences are different though so be sure to discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor. I know for me, it was the best decision I have ever made!! :biggrin1: -
Congratulations!!! That is fantastic! You are going to look great in your wedding dress!! :biggrin1: Be sure and post pics!!!

niecyrenee replied to conniesueb's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome conniesueb!! I was banded on November 8th so I'm new at this myself. We have a thread under the General Discussions titled November bandsters. Come check it out! We discuss our struggles, our hopes and ask each other lots of questions. We would love to have you join us!! Best of luck to you!! -
I LOVE The Biggest Loser!!! I am addicted! It is so inspiring to watch. I am motivated everytime I watch it. I would love to see Erik win because he has come so far. To start out at 407 and already be in the 200's when he left the ranch is amazing. :clap2: Did you see the previews for the finale, he looks amazing!!! I also love Kai. She is a wonderful girl! I love her spunky attitude!! She has done an amazing job as well. I will be happy with either one I guess. I really liked Bobby and Marty as well seeing as Marty was from MO! I can't stand Heather or Wylie and I didn't like that new girl.....what's her name....Adrian. Man, grow up!! What a cry baby! I can't wait to see the finale!!

I love seeing the reasons behind everyone's usernames!! Some have some really awesome ideas! My username is pretty easy to figure out. When my nephew was a little tike, he couldn't say Denise so he called me Aunt Niecy and it stuck. Renee is my middle name and I live in the great state of Missouri!!

Any Northeast Missouri Bandsters?
niecyrenee replied to niecyrenee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Jennifer-Welcome! I too looked into both options but quite frankly, RNY scared me. I am very happy I went with the band. Good luck on your journey! Keep in touch! -
I was wondering if there are any bandsters on LBT from NEMO? It would be great to "meet" some!

Any Northeast Missouri Bandsters?
niecyrenee replied to niecyrenee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
HI Mariquita! Missouri bandsters are hard to come by. I was really surprised when I went in the Missouri thread and the only active thread was from around Springfield. I know there are others in my area who have been banded but apparently they don't know about LBT. I'll have to clue them in. :heh: -

Hey Cindy! You're not too far from MO. We are still "neighbors". :biggrin1: Waiting is such a hard thing to do! Good luck and I hope you get your date soon. -
Any Northeast Missouri Bandsters?
niecyrenee replied to niecyrenee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi!! I thought surely there had to be other people on LBT besides just myself. It's nice to chat with everyone on LBT but I was hoping there were some "locals" online to chat about things happening in NEMO. Do you still have a lot of snow from the recent storm? We didn't get much, thankfully, and it's about all melted away now. Are you still in the learning phase on lapband or just waiting for a surgery date? -
Newly banded and looking for new friends!
niecyrenee replied to mamamanikay's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome mamamanikay! I was banded in November as well. We have our own thread titled November Bandsters under General Discussions. You'll have to come join us! -
Kat-My thought process was exactly the same way!! Lapband is a TRUE lifesaver!

I have no health problems outside of being obese but my family does and my main reason for having the surgery was because I didn't want to develop those problems. I also want to have children but I want to be a healthier weight before doing so. But there is still that side of me that wants to be sexy...what woman doesn't?!? :heh: I would be fooling myself if I said vanity didn't play a part in my decision. I have people tell me all the time how beautiful I am, but I don't see it. When I look in the mirror, I see fat. I want to be attractive for my husband, I want to turn heads and I want to buy all the cute clothes that everyone else is wearing. Vanity, although not the main reason, was definitely a factor for me.

My doc recommends Flinstones Complete and they aren't bad.

Congrats sissybubbie and welcome to LBT! There is a wealth on info on here but if you have questions or concerns, let us know, that's why we are all here!

Why can't my husband understand????
niecyrenee replied to waitingtiljan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That's great! Talking about it is good progress. I think he'll come around, it just may take time. He loves you and doesn't want to take a chance at losing you and eventually he will learn that he runs a greater risk of that if you stay how you are as opposed to having the surgery. I hope the seminar helps him understand better.
