Red Lobster Warning -- ADULTS ONLY

:pound: That's hilarious! What an ingenious idea! No, you are not the only one. The way she flaunts them around I just want to say to her, "Geez, do yourself (and us) a favor and cover them up".

    Positive Support

Deb, remember that you are doing this for you so don't let anyone make the decision for you! It's a personal journey and two people's is alike. For me, it's the best think I have done! It has given me my life back and I am forever grateful. Is it just roses all the time? No. But is it worth everything? Absolutely! I researched this for a year before I decided to go through with it. I decided that my chances at a long, full life were greater if I had the surgery then if I didn't. I was miserable and depressed before and now, I'm happy because I see posibilities ahead that I could have only dreamed of! My journey thusfar has been fantastic! Post-op wasn't bad and I have been blessed with quick weight loss but only because of hard work and determination. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! Remember that! You have to decide this for yourself so be sure that you are happy with your decision. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks, feels or says! Good luck to you and if we can help anymore, don't hesitate to ask!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Good morning everyone! It is a beeeeeaaaaautiful day here in Missouri and we are expected to reach near 80 degrees! It will be short lived as they are calling for 40's later in the week but I will enjoy it while I can! I have just completed two days on m/e and have decided to go off of it for a while. I lost 3 lbs. which is nice but I miss veggies much more than I anticipated. :hungry: Sarge, those are wonderful rules for this week! I will strive to adhere to them. After I spend the week eating right, drinking my Water, exercising and smiling, I will have set the stage for a wonderful weekend! Sarge has spoken girls! Where are those smiles?!? (Excuse me please, the sunshine puts me in a giddy mood!!) :biggrin1:

    Best Airline for Larger People

Thanks for the info everyone! Work has been insane so I haven't had time to really sit down and decide anything yet but hope to this weekend. Dh is thinking (again) that we should drive and enjoy the freedom to go anywhere so who knows what will happen. I'm just ready for the summer and getting out of the office for a while!

    Hello Missouri!

I am doing well, thanks! The pre-op diet can be tough but not impossible. For me, it got easier after the first few days. My advice, remind yourself often of why you are doing it. It's a great motivator! Also, keep yourself busy. You may not have a ton of energy so keep that in mind but staying busy always helps me take my mind off food. At the time, it seemed to take forever but looking back, it doesn't seem like it was that long afterall. I just knew that I needed to do it. You will do great!!

    Hello Missouri!

Sharon, it's good to hear from you! I am glad to hear you aren't having pain! That is fantastic! The walking will help you heal better than anything. I remember being up walking a lot because I too couldn't lie still. Having never had surgery before, that really surprised me. Getting a new hairstyle is a wonderful idea! New Sharon in 2007!! Isn't it wonderful to be able to look to the future and see good things?!? I see possiblities ahead that I never even dreamed about before. Dealing with others can be difficult when it comes to your surgery. It's private but people seem to think everything is their business so they ask all kinds of questions. At first I was very private about it but I have opened up a great deal and I receive wonderful comments from people. There have been a few times that I wished I'd have kept my mouth shut but mostly, I am happy it's out there. I wouldn't want to worry about someone finding out and judging me privately. It does get easier to deal with. I have found that the people who seem to look down on me for having the surgery are the same ones who judged me for being overweight. Funny how when you take a step to help yourself and some people stay determined to burn you for it. Their problem I figure.

    November Bandsters!

Isn't that a nice feeling! I've been pulling clothes out that I thought I would never wear again and they actually look nice! :clap2: The SV's are nice but those NSV's are just as wonderful! Keep up the good work! It might be best if you go back to the basics. 3-5 small meals a day. Small bites, eat SLOW and quit eating after 30 mins. You'll be surprised at how content you are. Go for content, not full. Getting full isn't good for the band. If you choose high protein foods, you will stay full longer so you may find that you are just fine with 3 meals a day. Mix it up a little and find what works for you. Good luck!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

It is so wonderful! I had always told myself that I would never weigh in the 400's but it came on so quickly. I was so depressed about it. I can hardly believe that just a few months ago I was over 80 lbs. heavier! BTW, the scale had me at 325 this morning so I am confident that I will reach and surpass my anniversary goal!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Congratulations!!! How exciting!! Babies are such a precious gift! We too have tried for years and my doc told me taking off even a few pounds would help a lot. We are thinking of starting to try again this summer, we'll see how that goes. I am so happy for you!!

This Post will Get me in Trouble

    Hmm...so true, so true. :guess
  21. I have been a Pepsi addict for years but walked away cold turkey when I knew I wanted to have lapband surgery. I was surprised at how easy it was to give up. I'm not saying I don't get a small craving every now and then but overall, it's not been bad. Now when hubby opens his and I smell it, it's hard for a few minutes. My doc says no soda at all and I think that is easier for me because if I could have it once in a while, it would turn into all the time like before.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Oh, ok I suppose. I started that 30 hour famine yesterday at noon that my youth group is doing and what a disappointment that has been. I thought that just having protein shakes and water along with a lot of walking and playing that I would have at least dropped a pound. Of course not, what was I thinking anyway?!? :frusty: Ugh! I am fighting the down in the dumpness right now. It must be because it cloudy outside and lightly raining. I'll blame the weather. Tomorrow I am going to start m/e again. I am going to do it for several days and see what kinda results I get. I really want to get back below 325 before my wedding anniversary on 3/18. I was below that but now I am setting at 327. I would love to be below 300 by Memorial Day! That's my goal right now. No getting discouraged if I don't make it though. On 10/29/06 when I started the preop diet, I weighed 405 lbs. so I have already come a long way! There's my pep talk to self today! Now I need to lift my head up, keep chugging along and knock those pounds off!:boxing:

    Ready in Sprinfield Mo

I don't mind. My starting weight was 405. I am a supersized bandster. I know nothing about compression garments. I have never tried them. If they really fight gravity and sagging, I should get one for the girls; they are needing a little lift! :heh:
