I feel your pain, I had in 8+ cc's and had to have a complete unfil about 2 months ago. Since then they have put back almost half of my fluid, but i still do not have any restriction and yes i'm wanting to eat the house down. For me it is a serious struggle. I had managed to lose 70 albs in one year and now i've gained back 7 lbs. I go next week for another fill, so i'm really hoping they will put back atleast 1 more cc if not a little more. Good luck to you. -

Hey Jackie were you in to see Nurse Tina yesturday(2-11-10)? I was in for a fill and there was a lady there that really looked like you in the face. We only met that one time at the support meeting but i was sure that it was you, except if it was you, you have lost alot of weight. I was going to ask, but chickened out. I hadn't been in for a fill in 2 months and had been gaining and losing the same four pounds for 1 month so i figured it was time to face the music. My weight loss would be much better if i'd get my ass moving. Well hope your still doing great. Take Care, April

Starting size: very tight 20 jeans, 22/24 shirts Current size: 16 jeans, 18/20 shirts I feel: I have more confidence most days I need to work on: Exercising and getting my brain on board with my band. Surely it knows the band is there. lol -

HI, I wish someone would hav told me what a serious mind game this would be. I love my band, and i wouldn't take it out for anything, but it's a daily struggle and i'm 8 months in to this process. Good Luck. -
HI Jackie, Hope your Christmas was great as well. Myjourneyis very slow. I have lost 40 lbs and i have quit counting my fills. I have a 9cc band and noiw have in 7.5 ccs. i think i have had about 8 or 9 fills. I have not hit the sweet spot yet. Starting to wonder if it really exists. Even though it's slow i would not take it out or not have gotten it. Wow 68pounds is alot, you must be doing somethingright. I too have not been exercising. I figure once i quit losing i will get on the exercise band wagon. Well have a happy new year and hang in there.

How many cc's are in the realize c band? I have a realize band and my fill nurse told me i had a 9cc band. Right now have in 6.75 cc's and i'm a little worried about getting the restriction before it's filled up. I go for another fill in 2 days. I have restriction but i am able to eat more than a cup of food, I could probably eat about 1.5 to 2 cups of food. I rrreeeaaalllyyyy do not want to fail at this. I've been able to lose before, but keeping it off has long been the problem. Good Luck to everyone. -
Yeah, So i'm having trouble wrapping my head around this band as well. I do have restriction, but not sure if i am at my sweet spot, i'd say not since the pounds aren't falling off. This head hunger thing is unreal. I even get pissy when i can't eat what i want to eat. How silly is that? Well, good luck!!!

SOOO? Do you have better restriction after your 3rd fill? I went yesturday for my 5th fill, and my port is were it is suppose to be, so that's a big relief!! I'm not sure why it feels different to me, but it sure does. I'm hoping this fill will put me in the green zone. Hope your doing ok.

I have finally lost 30 lbs, it is slow but atleast i'm losing. Now i can't find my port i use t be able to feel it and now i can't. I hope it's still there and attatched right. I'll find out tomoroow i get my fifth fill. What size band do you have and how many cc's are in it? I have a 9cc band and i have 6 cc's in it.

Hey it's April from the Moberly area.... How are you doing??? Did you go to last months support group meeting in columbia? I went i should have contacted you b/4 i went to see if you were going to be there. I really didn't think it was that great of a meeting. Hope all is going great with you, It's really a ssslllooowww process for me, but i'm hanging in there.

I had a few of these with my preop diet, and actually i did not drink them, I froze them, then ate them like ice cream. It was a nice treat, Good Luck!!!!!!! -

Hang in there, it can be very tough!! I was banded 06/01/09 and have had 4 fills, finally on August 26th i got my 4th fill and i now have some restriction. My band is a 9 cc band and it has 6 cc's in it. I researched this surgery alot, but still missed the section where it said that it could take months to get the fill to a position where i would have some restriction. So i guess my point is hang in there, it will get better you just have to be patient and try really hard to not over eat. And yes i know, if you could stop overeating you wouldn't have needed this surgery. It just takes alot of patience. GOOD LUCK TO YOU !!!!!!

It's strange how 2 years ago there was not anyone in my family or group of friends who had cancer and then all of a sudden it hits. With in 2 years i have lost my best friend who was 34 to breast cancer, A friend of my husbands to prostate cancer, My father in law to lung cancer, and my mom to pancreactic cancer. My family and I have lived through a extreme amount of sadness these last two years, but we are finally starting to find happiness again. I just worry some days about who's next. My heart goes out to all who have lost close friends or family.

My besrt friend Michelle, past away in Jan of 08, she was 34, breast cancer. Anyway, I am pretty clutsy and she was always calling me "stumbelina". So i felt if i used that as my username it was a way for her to be a part of this journey with me.

Great Idea! 10. Feel comfortable about myself when out in public 9. Spoon with hubby and NOT have gut hanging for him to hold. ( i know yuck, right?) 8. Play ball or anything really with my kids and not feel breathless or exhausted 7. Shop from the "other" side of the store 6. Shop in any store of my choice 5. I would like to be noticed again 4. Order anything off of the menu when out with friends and not worry that i'm looking like an oinker 3. A complete makeover when at goal weight 2. Buy super sexy bra and panties 1. To look smokin hot in my new bra and panties I'm working toward these goals, however some days they seem a little far fetched!!

Astera, I've had 2 fills. I have a 9cc realize band and i have in 2 cc's and i only feel restriction if i eat any bread products, otherwise i have to check myself or i would be overeating all the stinking time. It's more than frustrating, i go in for another fill next week and will continue to get fills every two weeks until i hit the right spot. I'm really worried i am going to fail at this also. I've only lost 25 lbs since my preop diet that started on may 21st and my surgery was on june 1st. I have finally started walking and weight training, maybe that will help. Good Luck to you!!!!

Hi Jackie, It is not painful at all to get a fill. It doesn't take very long either, you spend more time waitin on the doc. I had good restriction the first few days and then not so much after that. I'm not able to eat as much as before the fill, but i'm still eating more than i'm suppose to, atleast it feels like it. I've only lost 1lb since my fill, but i'm not really exercising consistantly either. I go for another fill on 7/14/09, maybe then i'll start losing more weight, atleast i hope anyway. Are you in bandster hell yet? I hope you don't experience it, it sucks. Let me know how you are doing. April

Good Luck tomorrow, I'm sure you'll do fine. When they get you back to your recovery room try to get up as soon as you feel you can, it will make a big difference in how you feel. Atleast for me it did. I was really uncomfortable laying there. Once i was up i did not lay back down until i got home. Well good luck again!!!!! April
