I am going back to the lap band doctor today and tell them what the other drs. have suggested. I do have a pinched nerve in my neck but I know when I pinched my nerve. Like I said the pain started in my side first. Thanks for praying for me. I hope your issues are solved soon. I will let you know what I find out.

I have basically reached my sweet spot. After the last two fills which were small , seems my back, shoulder, arm, and side have ached for days after the fills. I started out having my gallbladder tested, then appendicts and now I'm having back and nerve problems. Doctor suggested that it could be from the placement of the band. My last trip to the dr. was because of burning and tingling on the right side of my body. Has anyone had any of these symptoms since their band?

I totally agree with indioGirl 55. I do fine as long as I'm not around the sweets but once I'm anywhere near the sweets i'm popping a cookie or piece of candy in my mouth. The band does not stop you from eating the sweets. Trying my best not to keep any sweets in the house right now thru the holidays. I messed up big time during Thanksgiving and only lost 1lb during the month of Nov and they didn't think I needed a fill when I went on Nov 30 but I wanted one so desperatley because I'm terrified of gaining thru Christmas like I have all of the other years. I'm exercising and really trying to cut back because I know I have so many holiday parties to attend that will be serving high calorie foods and sweets. No it does not do me any good to eat healthy before I go because I can't resist the temptation.

Happy2lose- Why do you have a 4cc band ? Most people have a 10 cc band. -
Good Luck on Jan 18 . The last fill that I had in Oct was when I finally started getting some restriction. I had lost most of my weight without much restriction. But after my last fill I only lost 1 lb for the month. I really don't think that I'm too tight. Occassionaly I may have trouble but its because I eat to fast. Seems like it is beginning to be a struggle. I guess my body has gotten use to the band. Hopefully the exercise will help.

I think I have around 5 cc. I'm not for sure. I sometimes don't understand why we can't have the fills and we tell them that we are eating to much food. Looks like you and I are having about the same progress.Yes, I'm very proud of the 58 lost lbs that I'm not carrying around anymore. My biggest problem is to not eat sweets. I can still put the sweets away and that's when you have to have will power. I have started doing 30 min per day on my elliptical and burning 500 calories. Surely that is going to make a difference when I go back Jan 5. Good Luck to you as you go through this journey.

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes , patience is my downfall and you definitely have to have it if you have the lapband.

You have done great! Look at what you done before the surgery. That's a real accomplishment. I've started exercising more this week so hopefully the exercise will give me a jump start to losing again.

Looking for someone who had surgery in April 09. I had mine on April 03 and have lost 58 lbs. I have been at a stand still with my weight. I had a loss of 1 lb in Oct and 1 lb in November. I did not have a fill in Sept and received 1cc on Oct 22. When I went back Nov 30 the doctor didn't think I needed a fill. This has been very depressing for me lately. I really wanted to haVE SOME RESTRICTION FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I think I have 5-6 cc in a 10 cc band. I'm intrested in seeing how much weight that others have lost that had their surgery in April. I started out at 283 and lost 20 of the 58-2 weeks before surgery.

I had my surgery April 03, 09 and have lost 57 lbs. I went to the doctor in Sept and had lost 5 lbs so he felt I didn't need a fill then went back on Oct 22 and had lost 1 lb so he put in 1cc. I went back yesterday and had only lost 1 lb but he didn't seem to think that I needed a fill. I feel like I have reached a plateau and that I'm on a diet. I have been snacking to much and not exercising like I should but I really wanted a fill for December because of the holidays. I have some restriction but I can still eat alot of food and not be sick. This is going to be hard!!

I'm trying to figure out if I've met my sweet spot. I have lost 58 lbs since I had my surgery on April 03, 09. 20 lbs came from the pre-diet. I think I have about 5cc in a 10 cc band. Most of my appetite is in the p.m. hours. I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning and can go without breakfast. If I have breakfast I have to really take it slow and do not eat very much. I have lunch at 1:00 and It doesn't take much for me to fill full but by dinner time I seem to be starving and can tolerate almost any type of food. My last fill was Oct 22 and my next one is Nov 30. I've probaly lost 5 lbs this month. I have cheated by snacking later in the day. I've had 4 episodes of pb and its from not chewing my food well and eating to fast. I'm afraid if I don't get a fill then I want lose any weight. I want to be able to lose some weight in December. I've always gained in December due to the holidays. The month that I went without a fill I only lost 1 lb so when I went in Oct he put in 1cc. I think I need a small fill. Just curious as to what others think.

I had my surgery on 4/03/09 and have lost 40. This is from the 3/19 to now. I have had 2 fills and I think I have 4cc in my band. I have really not lost any weight since June 09 my last fill. I can eat a sandwich with the bread and all the veggies. I called the docs office and they claim I shouldn't be able to eat a whole sandwich. That I need to keep my meals to a palm size. I was suppose to go in for a fill on July 21 and had to cancel because I'm having major female surgery on July 13 and I'm anemic so I have to get my iron up and take care of myself. I can't have a fill until Aug 24 now. I'm alreaady discouraged because I'm gaining a few pounds back. Hopefully the surgery will make me lose my appetite. I just don't understand how we all can eat these things that the doctors claim that we can't. They always say I hope you haven't strectched your pouch, well how are we suppose to know if we have. Why are they so slow about the fills. I know if I ever got sick from eating something then I wouldn't overeat again but I really haven't been sick yet.
