The $100 is for patients who did not use him for the band. When I talked to them they were a bit snotty. While they don't file insurance for the adjustment when you use another doc, they also don't provide info so that you can file insurance on it either. My fiancee hasn't had Dewitt give her one yet but I think adjustments will cost her like under $60 as he will file for her. I'm gonna stick with Weinstein. Nice guy although I had a heck of a time at the Mobile Infirmary. fills are $56
  2. i flat hated the liquid diet and felt the call of fast food especially when I was miles away from home. I mean, when your out, where do you get a liquid diet? I discovered first - chinese food. the wonton soup without the wonton is pretty much slightly seasoned chicken stock. The egg drop should also be safe (I asked my doc first) as the shreded egg has no carbs but good protene. Second, when you can't get egg drop, and you have to cheat, just do it smart. I wasn't that obese so and I knew I was taking a chance, so I won't recommend it to anyone, but I ate a ceasar salad without crutons for lunch once. To be honest, it made me feel guilty as heck. I used the guilt to actually double down and went 4 days instead of 3 on clear liquids. there's also plenty of jello. I hate to say it but it got me by. And a tip from my mother-in-law to be. She was on a liquid diet for 8 months losing 90 pounds (gained it back) chew gum. it DOES help

my fiancee is using DeWhitt and he seems to have a really easy pre and post-op program. I used Weinstein in Mobile and his was pretty hard on my will to comply (darn McDonalds) DeWitt's program was low carb starting at 10 days before and clear liquid at three days prior. Recovery was also faster at 1 week of puree food instead of my doc's recommended two weeks. I'm sure everyone is different. Down side to Dewitt (for me) is if I want to use him when I move back to Montgomery, he charges $100 and doesn't file any insurance for fills. btw, I'm new too. banded 5/1
