  1. I have been very satisfied with the way my surgery went. I have had no problems and I believe that Dr. Brian Swain is one of the best. He is very concerned about all of his patients.
  2. Hi Sunflower80 it is good to hear from you. I want to congratulate you on your decision to have the surgery but I was sorry to hear that you had some complication. I am glad to hear that you are doing good now and losing 23 pounds in that length of time is fantastic. I am doing well I had a fill in November and was sick for 4 weeks before I went back and had Dr. Swain to take some out. I think he wanted to shoot me for waiting so long LOL. I have lost 61 pounds so far and I feel so much better. I have 4cc in my band right now so I can still have 6 more my band will hold 10cc. I have hopes that maybe I will lose another 50 or 60 pounds between now and December 31 of this year. I have talked long enough so I wil let you go but please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. Take Care of yourself.
  3. Hello my name is Sheila (Kygurl) and I am one of Nicoles or Blessedwithavoice support buddies. I wanted to know if you have heard from her in a while the last time she emailed me was around October 26th. I am beginning to get worried about her. She emailed me or I would email her about every other day. I have emailed her 2 or 3 times but as of today I have not received any kind of a response.

    Number Two.

Nicole Please email me after reading you blog post on October 26th that is about the last time I received an email from you I am getting worried about you because I have not heard from you in almost a month. I am sorry we missed each other at the Doctors office. I hope we get to meet in person very soon. I am looking forward to it. your support buddy Sheila
  5. You are very welcome. I just hope it helped.
  6. My surgery was done on May 14th of this year. I had the same fear you had that I would not succeed. My surgeron says that I am doing just fine if I lose 1.5 to 2 pounds a week he says that this is good. I guess I just want it to come off alot faster. I am sorry that I do not know anyone that has had surgery that had PCOS. I wish you every success is you decided to go ahead and have the surgery.
  7. Hello Sunflower I believe that everyone has some apprehension about having any surgery but I would have the surgery without any doubt if I had not already had it. I have not had any major problems since having the surgery and I have lost 40 pounds and have lost 6 to 7 inches in my waist. The only thing that bothered me was the gas that went up into my shoulders it did hurt for a while but it seem to me the more you walk the quicker it stops hurting. If you decide to have the surgery please let me know how you do. Good Luck 2 you Kygurl
  8. Hi Bean1980 I guess I am doing good or at least the doctor says so. I have lost a total of 28 pounds but I would like to lose faster LOL. I had my first fill last week it is a little harder to swallow and I somtimes forget and take to big of a bite but I am learning fast LOL. I hope that you are doing well with your band.

  9. Hi Newladi how are you doing. I had my first fill last week it is a little harder to swallow and I somtimes forget and take to big a bite but I am getting better at it now. I have lost a total of 28 pounds all together I guess that is good but I would like to lose a lot faster LOL.

  10. I want to say congrats on having the lapband. I hope that you are feeling well and have a great success. I had my lapband on May 14th and I have lost a total of 28 pounds so far. I can eat peanut butter on crackers with no problem. I was told that some people do have trouble with certain foods but all are different. I do not have trouble with any food if I take small enough bites and do not try to swallow to much at once. I had my first fill last week and it is a little harder to swallow but if I take it slow and easy I do ok.
  11. Oh yeah you got to remember that part of that weight lost was from the liver shrinking diet. How did you like that diet I was getting pretty tired of it by the time I had my surgery.
  12. Hi newladi I am sorry to hear that you are having a bad day. I hope that before long you will be able to walk and each day will get better. I have not had a fill yet I don't really get hungry between meals but it is so hard for me to lose weight anyway. I ask Dr. Swain about the amount of calories and he said not to eat any less than a 1000 a day. I do go over sometimes but I try not to by very many. I also have arthritis and I have already had a total knee replacement on both legs and I also take medication for it so I know how you must feel. I eat different things and I have not found anything so far that I cannot eat either. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing it is good to be able to talk to someone that is going through the same thing I am. When do you go back to the doctor. I do not go until June 30th I may be getting pretty hungry by then LOL. You take care of yourself.
  13. I went to the doctor on May 26th I had lost a total of 22 pounds. I have been trying to walk a mile at least 4 days a week. Congrats on your weight loss. I get the hiccups sometimes when I eat and my nutritionist told me that meant that I was full and if I kept eating it might make me sick. Do you ever have the hiccups?
  14. Sorry lachdanon I wish I did know the calorie count but this is all something new to me. I just had my surgery on May 14th.
  15. I believe that all doctors are different so I would say ask your doctor and follow his instructions. My liquid diet consist of sugar free beverages like crystal light and sugar free kool-aid, coffee, tea, water with sugar substitute, broth all varieties, sugar free popsicles for the first and second day then I advance to Full liquid where I can add low fat strained cream soups and vegetable juice. Good Luck on reaching your goal and please keep in touch as every post I get helps me on my journey as well.
  16. I started Liver Shrinking diet on May 6th Surgery is set for May 14th. I have done well so far have lost 9 pounds. The Unjury protein drink is the best I have found so far. I go over the information just about everyday to try and understand the stages I will have to go through. I will be so glad when I can eat some solid foods LOL.
  17. slimm2be Thank you for your encouragement. I am excited and scared at the same time there is so much information to remember it is so overwhelming. I am looking forward to the surgery as I have battled my weight all my life.
  18. I was wanting to know how your surgery. I will go tomorrow for the blood work, X-ray, and pre-anesthesia test and my surgery is for suppose to be done on May 14th. I have read alot about this surgery but all the information you read is so overwhelming. I thought maybe hearing from a person that has been through the experience might help.
