Ann!!! How I miss you dearly!!! how is everything! I have great news!!!! they are replacing the Hip on Oct 29th!!!! How are you feeling?

Hey Danielle!! My bmi was 37 as well, so right off the bat I had to have 6 months of observation. I had/have co-morbidities, which was the reason Health plus approved my surgery (Hip Arthritis and Sleep Apnea) I used (follow up with) Dr. Piotr Gorecki at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, and I absolutely LOVE him. the downside is that with Health-plus he can only be seen in the clinic on Wed & fri.

It took them about 2 weeks to approve the surgery, it had to be rescheduled because of a drs note that needed to be submitted, but it was only a 2 week difference (orig. may 7th, resched/ actual surgery may 21) If you want more info on him, Let me know

The Neck pain is from the anethstesia, it'll go away in a few days. Just take it easy. I slept a lot after my surgery and had to be reminded to drink... take small sips. it gets better. Feel good lady and welcome to the club!

Survived thxgvng........ I'm alright I haven't weighed myself in like 2 weeks, Am going to do so tonight, have been through the most stressful 2 weeks ever, so I'm sure I lost something.

Not that I know of, I know there is one coming up in Atlantic City I believe soon 2 people from my office are going... I'll let ya know though. My restriction has been so weird lately, I can eat certain things like a horse, but others come right back up..

Are you doing pre-op liquids? It sucks the first few days but believe me it really helps post op because your already adjusted to it.

I'm doing o.k for the most part, had a few probs for a bit but the doc & I seemed to have found my sweet spot for now. Hit a serious plateau for a while, but lost 3lbs last week.

It is nerve wracking But you will do just fine.... I'm praying for you!!!

When are you being banded?

the hair was the first thing I changed, clothes, I simply kept all my fav smaller sized things KNOWING I will fit into them again, so thats what I'm doing just digging out the old and buying new if only neccessary, and donating the much larger sized stuff to charity as I lose. No need in keeping it around because I will never wear it again! Thanks for the comment

I appreciate that. I've been losing more inches then lbs, but I will take that. I had some probs for a bit, was over filled. 3lbs this week, 1st time in a while I've actually lost. Sorry to hear about the bottom part. just keep taking care of that (you already know that lol) and I highly reccomend Bio-oil for the scars.

Hey lady, Not too bad. Had a fill on friday after having the "unfill" and only losing 1 lb in 6 weeks. It's a struggle. Still haven't been to the gym yet, but thats my own fault. How are you doing?

Hey I just replied to you on the alterna site.... YOU HAVE TO CALL YOUR DOC ASAP and probably need an unfill. i had the same problem you had to the point where Water wouldn't stay down. I was 3 days away from being hospitalized for dehydration & malnutrition and ended up having .6ccs removed. It's really harder for us because we're veg, So you need to get that checked before you damage your stomach and your band.

Oh that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I had to have an "unfill" I wasn't gaining or losing, and on top of that I have a slight protein deficiency, so my hair is falling out. I got really sick from being too tight and since then meats don't really stay down, so I've become a full on vegetarian again!! what a way to do it. but hopefully I'm back on the way down this week.
