  1. How did everyone survive thanksgiving? It was a breeze for me considering the 2 weeks of hell I have just had (haven't weighed myself in these 2, but I'm sure due to the stress *fingers crossed* I've lost something. I almost choked on my turkey (which actually turned out awesome), stayed away from the mashed potatos (which I don't eat to begin with) had 1 scoop of stuffing, and Made the green beans with low fat/low sodium cream of mushroom.... Made the turkey with sugarfree Apple juice concentrate, a fresh apple, Margarine instead of butter, and fresh herbs..... it was splended... Also managed to find a sugar free pumpkin pie.... 1 plate of food, and I was full!!! and the family didn't realize all the "Good stuff (fats & sugars) was substituted"... I survived thanksgiving despite all the BS that was thrown my way..... Just don't have a lb report for you guys... I will tomorrow. How about you all??? happy belated btw:wub:

  4. Survived thxgvng........ I'm alright I haven't weighed myself in like 2 weeks, Am going to do so tonight, have been through the most stressful 2 weeks ever, so I'm sure I lost something.

  5. Not that I know of, I know there is one coming up in Atlantic City I believe soon 2 people from my office are going... I'll let ya know though. My restriction has been so weird lately, I can eat certain things like a horse, but others come right back up..

    The Big No-No's

    O.k... I want to know what everyone can not eat now (healthier foods) that you were completely able to eat before being banded but can't now, even if on your approved foods list. I had japaneese last night (mom's b-day) and I was sooooo nausious 3 bites into it that I opted for the salad because I was so sick from it- immediatly. Broccoli hates me, Steak hates me (no matter how tender) deli meats, Sausage (whether veggie or turkey) and carrots.

    The Big No-No's

    I make my baked apples with Oats... Oats brownsugar, Cinnemon, some vanil. extract, rasins and chopped walnuts and melted butter (or marg.) to keep the mix together... and then spoon full the melted remnents over the apples when their done. I found over the summer, melon was really hard to keep down (honeydew) Corn doesn't sit so hot with me either.
  8. Are you doing pre-op liquids? It sucks the first few days but believe me it really helps post op because your already adjusted to it.

    I'm doing o.k for the most part, had a few probs for a bit but the doc & I seemed to have found my sweet spot for now. Hit a serious plateau for a while, but lost 3lbs last week.

    It is nerve wracking But you will do just fine.... I'm praying for you!!!

    Thank you ann. it's funny in order to take those b/c I still don't have a full sized mirror, I'm standing on a cooler looking into my bathroom vanity, which when standing in front of basically stops at the bottom of my neck (That short!)

  14. the hair was the first thing I changed, clothes, I simply kept all my fav smaller sized things KNOWING I will fit into them again, so thats what I'm doing just digging out the old and buying new if only neccessary, and donating the much larger sized stuff to charity as I lose. No need in keeping it around because I will never wear it again! Thanks for the comment :)

  16. I appreciate that. I've been losing more inches then lbs, but I will take that. I had some probs for a bit, was over filled. 3lbs this week, 1st time in a while I've actually lost. Sorry to hear about the bottom part. just keep taking care of that (you already know that lol) and I highly reccomend Bio-oil for the scars.

  19. hey blair! 1st- YOu look FABULOUS! 2nd I don't even know where to begin to thank you for your help. I was indeed way overfilled. and thanks to you they caught it before I ended up in the E.R for starvation & dehydration. SO THANK YOU! and keep up the AWESOME job your doing so far!
