    What food stage are you at? What are you eating?

    As far as restrictions, and the A.M-P.M debate, I find that I'm more restricted at night. For some reason, even before being banded I get really bloated at like 3:30-4:00pm. Whether I've eaten or not, By the time dinner comes around, I'm usually too queesy to eat, but I force myself to. I'm transitioning soft/solids right now, but gave in to salad the other night, which I have absolutly no problem eating (then again from what I've read, wait until my first fill). BTW, I've been buying the Weight Watchers brand of cheeses, and they are delicious. My band and I are having a love hate relationship when it comes down to the foods I'm supposed to be eating, it's just not appreciating them whatsoever.

    WLS, Stupidity and wanting to punch people in the face.

    So, I saw a former co-worker last night who happens to live about a block and a half away from me Loitering by my house. I being ever so gracious and courteous Say hello and ask how she is doing? she rolled her eyes at me and gave me a smug look and proceeded to ask me if I lost weight or am I just not bloated today. In complete shock, I just looked at her and said, I lost weight, But I see you've gained a ton, I have some fat girl hand me downs if your interested, After the shock set in, this Bitch proceeded to tell me that Cocaine is doing WONDERS for me. I was about a quarter inch away from punching her in the face (99% of the time I respect my elders, but when it comes down to this degenerate peice of white trash I don't bother to bite my tongue) when the words It's not drugs, it's healthy eating, unlike your anorexic daughter, came out of my mouth. She proceeded to tell me to go fuck myself, I'm in denial about my "addiction" and she knows the "truth" about Shit-head junkies like myself (and she used to be), While I screamed I hope your disease (*disclaimer* I do not wish any disease on ANY HUMAN BEING ON EARTH as I myself suffer from Severe osteo-arthritis at 27yrs old) eats your insides and kills you in a slow painful death you fucking twat. Whats the point here? I'm learning more and More that sometimes it's better to be safe then sorry about who you tell when it comes down to being banded, But sometimes you get that one piece of shit who thinks they know everything about you when in fact they know absolutly nothing about you to even make an assumption. The more and more people notice little changes with me, the more clear it becomes to me that it's best to just say "diet & excercise" unless they are 100% tried and true trusted. And thats where I'll stop. P.S- 1 person's ignorant comments are not worth 3-5 for agrivated assault!

    Did you tell everyone or no?

    My DF is not at all bigger then me, taller, yes, which is why Me being a big fat cow is really hard on him. Because usually the pattern is when your happy & comfortable with someone you usually gain weight, I'm the opposite. and then we moved in together, and I started gaining out of nowhere a few lbs here and there, then I had a miscarriage, and thats where my weight went and ballooned. And that is why I'm now here because it was getting to the point where he was miserable, I was miserable and almost immobile, and if not only for myself, but My son, and my relationship. When your kid gets teased in school by other classmates that his mom is fat, thats when you get off your ass and do something.

    PB's---had my first one today.

    So far it's just deli turkey that gives me hell. I had no problem eating the chicken I made last night, And salad VERY WELL CHEWED I have no problem with. I didn't lose or gain this week I'm just still really bloated.:confused:

    PB's---had my first one today.

    I've been having them all day so far due to 1 slice of deli turkey and a baby bell lite cheese cube. And I'm just slurping down the water but I'm getting hungry...... This all happend at about 9:45 and stopped maybe, a half hour ago. Just my luck!!! SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU WORK ON YOUR DAY OFF!!!:thumbdown:

    Mayo Banditos / Friday Weigh In !!!!

    :thumbdown: Weighed myself this morning (before eating after the BM) DID NOT LOSE OR GAIN A lb! Very frustrated especially since I've been walking my ass off and ensuring I stay hydrated, I've kind of stuck so soft solids, and have PB's 3 times so far today for no reason. Will try again next week, 3 weeks out.

    Yummy Recipes!

    I have a recipe to share, it's basically cheating, but it's all in the way you cook it- good for those on mush/semi softs (like myself) and the fact it turned out like that was a total accident. 1 Bottle of Mrs. Dash's Low sodium Zesty Garlic lime marinade, 6 Boneless chicken breasts (kind of thick) 2 sheets of tin foil. 1 cookie sheet Marinade the chicken in the ENTIRE Mrs. Dash (mixed with 2 tblspns water) for 2 days (the vinegar will keep it) On day 2, Set your oven for 350, On the cookie sheet lay 1 peice of tin foil down place the chicken in the center and bring the sides up, pour the rest of the marinade in the bowl on top of the chicken, use the other sheet to SEAL the chicken, make sure it's air tight (crunch the edges together) Bake for 45 minutes. It comes out like seasoned poached chicken, and it's F*in delicious, If it's a little too Seasoned for you, Hidden Valley fat free ranch is a good dipping sauce.... ENJOY!!! Because my whole fam just did!

    Thank you Leeann, Unfortunatly, I'm not a "fish" person. Basically I'll only eat crab, lobster & shrimp and beer battered halibut- but only when I'm in AK. I haven't eaten tuna since I was like 5! So this is new territory for me. I've only been eating the shrimp & crab lately because it's soft enough, to not PB, and Chicken won't stay down.

    Port infection?

    How can you tell if you have an infection? Just curious because I was playing with the port area last night and there are like a few lumps by the incisions I feel the port but if I move my finger a few centermeters away, I have like 2 or 3 "chunky lumps" around the incision... can ya let me know? thank you :eek:

    Lets Celebrate !!!!!

    I've posted my NSV's on the "twenties page" but I had one this morning so I'll share. I'm currently wearing a pair of pants that have not fit this comfortably since I bought them last summer. I actually wore them to interview for my job with the top button open and my blouse untucked to cover it. They slid on no prob, buttoned and zippered like I wore them last week. They are a size 12. BUT Thats what I hate.... Every clothing company sizes differently.... these are NY & Co, But I'm still a 14 in Old navy jeans. But hell, I'm wearing a size 12 dress pants!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!! :ihih::eek::eek:

    Shumai is basically minced crab or shrimp wrapped in a thin dumpling skin and steamed or fried. Most Sushi places have it as an appetizer on their menu's, And Ann said that trader Joe's carry's it in the frozen section. It's very light, and it's good to dip in dumpling or soy sauce. Steamed shrimp is actually going down smoother then chicken. I PB when I eat chicken, and for someone that was never really a fish eater, thats what I've been living on.

    I attempted chicken the other day, wasn't happening, so I've been living on Shrimp dishes and crab shumai- basically my chinese food place now knows my name, and I've been getting everything steamed with the sauce on the side. I am dying for a salad though. I don't think I'm getting enough protein though.

    O.k. Maybe it's just me, but has anyone else had increased mood swings and attitudes? I understand that we're all going through changes when it comes down to neutrition and restricting and we're not giving our bodies what they are used to but I've found in especially in the last 3 days I have been snapping the F*ck out on everyone in my path...... is anyone else? P.S- In between all of that, I've been emotional too.... And it's not P.M.S! :redface:

    My fiance has had it, My Job is questioning my concentration ability, and I'm moodshifting faster then a Lion on a gazelle. I was a cranky bitch yesterday and today I'm depressed, I haven't been like this since I was pregnant. Like right at this Very moment I either want to kick the shit out of someone or curl up into the fetal position and cry... I'm so confused :thumbup:

    Drinking before and After meals.

    it was like a teaspoons worth, GAS, BLOATING and shooting pains in my side, I immediatly drank like 2 glasses of water just to dilute it, ended up taking a pepsid and a tums just to calm my stomach down, and then I got really hungry (This is after I ate dinner) to the point I was dry heaving if I didn't eat soon.

A lab can measure the amount of protein in your blood by performing a serum albumin blood test.
