And to answer your other question, my surgeon was Sina Matin and I had surgery at Baylor Grapevine. It's a great program.

Hi there! I have not signed into LapBand Talk in months, so I just got your message. Turns out I got approved with no problem too and had surgery on 9-28-09. Doing great, slow weight loss, just now beginning to get some restriction. I don't do lapbandtalk much anymore, enjoying blogging and other band bloggers instead. You have had great success and are an inspiration!

Thanks for getting this going. I like your suggestion "September Superstars". I have been wondering also about the September 2009 Bandster nickname...how does this work? Does anyone know? Well since it is almost September and I can't wait to have a knickname for our little club, I am also going to throw out some suggestions. I am in guys! I was approved by Aetna last week and have surgery scheduled for September 28th with Dr Matin at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine, TX. I am very excited! I hope my signature and ticker work - this post is sort of a test of my updated profile. -
We got in late last night and we both were beat. Lots of fun in Vegas and not too hot. We walked and walked and walked so that helped me not to gain any weight (thank goodness). It was hot, but not bad at all. There was a nice breeze and no humidity. Nothing like here today! It is wickedly hot out there. How was your trip. Tell me all about it. PS no didn't win, but lost very little. I think I am losing the gambling bug as I get older and that may be a good thing.

Crazy nuts of a weekend. Spent a lot of time at the hospital with my Mom. Her husband (my step dad) was in a small plane crash on Friday and is clinging to life. She is doing great considering. Life is short, we have to make the most of it. You never know when someone you love could walk out that door for the last time!
