    Dizzy..x.x

Okay, well, I got my band done two years ago, and it has been a complete success. My doctor is in Louisiana where my mother and my family live, however, I moved to England about a year ago. I visited in December and had an adjustment and everything has been relatively okay. I've been ill a bit and have had trouble eating solids, but I just returned to liquids. The reason I started this thread was because since then about 90% of the time that I have stood up, no matter the speed, I become incredibly dizzy, the edges of my vision begin to fade until everything is black before returning to normal. This normally lasts about 30 seconds, at most. All the blood pours form my face and I have been told I go as white as a sheet. This has been happening more frequently recently, and just yesterday it happened when I was in the kitchen cooking. I had not stood up or moved, I was chopping green onions. I almost cut off my fingers! I am not dehydrated, I drink water constantly, I eat regular meals..the only thing that I have found to help are sugar tablets..well, actually, dextrose tablets. I do not want to have to rely on these, however. I am due in for another appointment in June..help?

    Dizzy..x.x

Well, tomorrow is a Bank holiday so they'll probably be closed, but I'll call Tuesday and hopefully get a same day appointment. I'm surprised I've gone this far without seeing the doctor about it..I normally go as soon as something's wrong with me..x.x

Thank you, everyone! I'll definitely have it checked out! I don't take any drugs or anything of the sort, I don't drink and I don't smoke...and before the op, I was pre diabetic..and my family is not prone to diabetes. I'll go see my GP about it sometime this week, if all goes well. I hope it's nothing serious!
  4. I live with my fiance in a little flat and I cook just about every day, nothing fancy, I normally end up making what he wants to eat and then what I want. It isn't too hard to make two separate things, as long as they aren't too complex. Since August 09, I have been entertaining 5 people at my flat every Tuesday, so all in all it is 7 people on Tuesday (though I hardly count), and I have no trouble at all cooking for them, even if I make something that I cannot eat, I instead grab some greek yogurt or something of a similar sort. Or, of course, I can always fill myself up tasting the food as it cooks.
  5. You're beautiful, from what I can see in the icon, don't listen to that jealous office bitch! She only wishes she had the same natural beauty you do, keep your chin up!

addicted to my weight lose! bad!

You've done fantastic! Don't get frustrated, trust me, other people are in the same boat as you are. Like say, me. I've dropped to a size 8, which is supposedly 'perfect' for my height, but I still can't even get past wearing baggy clothes. One of my friends had to lend me a shirt because mine got paint on it while working and she couldn't believe my shape...I still don't wear short skirts or even knee length skirts..I don't even think I own any! I still see myself as big and I just want to keep losing until I see myself as thin..I might have to go see someone, actually...o.o Good Luck!!

Want to hear another crazy Dr. story?

Ouch, doesn't sound like a very attentive doctor..o.o As for the tattoo, I just got one done three days ago, and I couldn't be happier. I designed my own (Illustration major), but what I think made it better was that I went to a really good place, so that I could be sure everything was sanitary and good and so on. I went in January and made the appointment and had to wait until April. This helped alot because I was able to look at the design and continually question myself. I suggest that you not rush it. Also, try to think of something that can flow with your body, not just a stamp thing. Tattoos look so much better if they look like they were designed for you, for your shape, for your curves. Choose something that you love, that will always be a part of you. And good luck! Oh! And always check out the parlour you want to get it done at, look at their online portfolios..most have them, to give you a better idea of what it is the artist is good at. You don't want someone who specializes in Tribal doing a portrait on you. Good luck!

    Newbie question on Traveling

Well, about 10 days after my surgery I flew to England for a week or so to manage my University. I don't think it'll be a problem, however if you're going to be flying remember to get up and walk around every so often to make sure you don't get blood clots. Good luck! Bring your own drinks, such as a couple of thermos', one with a beverage and another with a warm broth. Resist snacking!
