Hi everyone. I weighed myself a few days after surgery and went from 238 to 221, but I weighed myself today, ten days after surgery, and I'm up to 226. I'm barely eating anything, mostly on the liquid diet, so I don't know if there's another reason for the weight gain. Thank you.

HiMow-I guess I'll be feeling your pain in a week. I know we will all feel better once we lose a few pounds before the surgery. Hopefully, it will be the jump start we all need.

I am very motivated to have my surgery on December 28th, but that means I have to be on the liquid diet for Christmas Eve and Day. I plan to do everything necessary for a safe surgery, but if I do eat something will it prevent me from having surgery or is it just a recommnedation? Did anyone "cheat" during the fasting period and if so what happened? Thank you so much for your time.

I scheduled my suirgery to coincide with my days off too so I'll just have to suck it up. I've waited this long to not give it my best. Thank you for your advice.

Thank you, everyone. I appreciate your replies. I will not cheat; I'm just worried about the difficulty, but I know it will give me a good taste of how focused I need to be after the surgery. The doctor said I cannot eat anything and I don't want to do anything that will prevent me from having the surgery.
